I submitted a complaint over 3 weeks ago and still no response. I've had mold growing in my washroom for over a year, reported it to the managers, still nothing has been done about it. 3 months ago there was an emergency plumbing issue in the unit above me and they had to cut a huge hole in my washroom ceiling. The hole is still there. I've provided multiple written and verbal requests to have this fixed, still waiting for a reply.

I'd give a zero if I could. Your office folks should be 1000% sure before they accuse any body of non payment of rent. I wouldn't rent from this company if you can help itWhat so I can get oops sorry human error I hope if I ever did forget to pay a whole months rents ooops sorry should be an acceptable response then right.They sent a notice to evict as well eh. Fun little er visit for the anxiety caused because oops sorry human error . Was pretty funny next day lost half hour of pay but I knew skyline cashed it on the 7th. A job I was not paid to ensure. But somebody in the office should be paid for that.Merry Christmas from skyline eh

I had the pleasure of living in a skyline living facility in the city of Thunder Bay, ON on Kingsway, the application process was easy and they took my money like nothing. However, I ended up leaving early due to horrible neighbours who don’t mind their own business and the first week experience (apartment wasn’t even ready - no communication about the move in date). So, ANYWAYS if you would like to have people who are nosey - this is the perfect place for you. So anyways, I was trying to sublet my apartment (with the approval of the land lord) and the resident manager/landlord was NOT helpful at all - communication sucked. However, she was there when she needed to complain…Eventually she found someone to potentially take over my lease and she didn’t let me know the persons credit was denied because she gave theImpression of the person will be moving in it immediately on august 1st. I signed all the paper work, but was pretty peeved with the way the resident manager/landlord handled the situation. She is an older lady and says she’s been in the landlord business for a long time, however maybe she should retire since she isn’t really doing well at that position. Now I have been waiting for the money from Skyline Living that they owe me since I left and got my lease terminated. At the beginning of this review, I mentioned, they took my money so easy, but it seems like they are being greedy and not forwarding me the money they said they’d send me in august and now we’re hitting October. Maybe they are using that money for something exciting??

Don't rent from Skyline. They really don't care at all. A tree fell over on a section of fence in the parking lot over a year ago they still haven't replaced it. The unit I'm in has flooded twice in the last to years with over an inch and a half of water. They are gonna replace the floor boards and trim. They don't care to investigate the actual reason for the flood just sweep that problem under the rug for the next unfortunate person that is lied to when they move in. They will wait untill 4:59 on a Friday to return emails. A guy litterally got stabbed outside of my apartment. Cops and everything was there for over 3 hours at like 4am. I HAD TO CALL THE MANAGER TO GET THE 6FT SQUARE OF CONGEALED BLOOD OFF THE GRPUND AND WALLS AND STAIRS.The regional manager Robyn feenstra will look you dead in the eye smile and liethrough her teeth. Don't trust them at all.Rent somewhere else.

I'd give it's less than a zero if I could. They don't care about the tenants at all. Horrible staff, allowed to do almost anything. Definitely save your money and stress, don't rent from them. Just go get a tent if you have to.

They will not return the 500$ deposit I paid for a 3 bedroom that I would have obtained tenancy of come September 1st 2021 due to my landlord selling our home. My children and I would have had to move 30 minutes away from where we live, so when a closer listing became available for August 1st 2021 I took it, giving them plenty of time to find another tenant (though I am aware they had and still have a long wait list). As the Skyline Living apartment was immediately tenanted by someone else, they did not lose any money. I am a single mother of 2 attending college trying to better my life. At this point, Skyline Living has made 500$ off of me for no reason. The deposit is a part of their APPLICATION process, meaning in order to even be denied, you need to provide a money order or certified cheque. Requiring a deposit is illegal in Ontario but they guise it as being a portion of last months rent. I was never given keys therefore I was never a tenant ergo that deposit is considered illegal. All calls and emails to the property managers and head office have been ignored. The two calls that were answered, I had to jump through hoops writing two emails detailing the specifics on why I no longer needed the apartment. I was then told to come pick up my certified cheque (driving an hour there and back to do so) and was given what is essentially a receipt as it had already been cashed. Upon taking it to my bank and being informed that that was not my money, I called the property manager again and was told that Skyline Living would mail me my money back. It has been 3 months now and I am still out 500$. Thanks for preying on people in a housing crisis during a pandemic, Skyline! You guys are real gems. Absolutely 0 stars.

I was shown the apartment I was to be renting. Very well renovated.. When I was signing the lease, I was informed that my apartment was not available any longer. I was told there was an identical apartment in another building. I viewed the apartment which was not livable. I was told that all repairs would be made before moving in. I did not move in until 5 days passed my actual date to provide more time to renovate. Upon moving in there were no repairs done at all. 6 months later after numerous complaints, I'm still at stage 1. No repairs, no response

Upon moving out I was asked for my forwarding address for the company to mail me my key deposit. I asked my on-site manager If I would be charged anything and she told me “no the apartment was in great shape.” I was charged 40$ out of my deposit and was informed it was for a “cleaning fee” even though I left the apartment in MUCH better condition than what I received it in. I have tried contacting both customer service and skyline head office directly many times over the past couple months. Customer service has put in several requests which are never responded to! This company overall has been EXTREMELY frustrating to deal with.

I asked if they need anything when I was moving out i showed them the unit they said that it's good and after four months they they called me that you have out standing balance of $218,76 that's scam I don't even know skyline living regulations I been in that apartment over 10 years I rented out when Northview was owed it when Skyline buy it became worse so I don't recommend any one to rent for scamer ppl it's sham to charge $218,76 after 4 month just for unit. For cleaning that's too Much sham on you guys.
