Excellent food! We were very impressed with the menu and learned a lot about some new, MUST-TRY cocktail recipes! They’re not just churning out the regular American recipes here… the homemade bread is fantastic!

This restaurant is located inside Rough Riders Hotel and Dining. Tables had white table cloths for dinner. The pork belly appetizer was tasty. The prime rib dinner was outstanding. Had the king cut. Available on Friday and Saturday. The walleye was good. Dinner either comes with soup or salad. They also served bread and butter. Service was excellent and efficient

After a long day of travel I was able to stop here for dinner. It was located inside my hotel; Rough Riders Hotel. While it was a bit pricy the quality of the food was amazing. I started with lobster bisque and a Caesar salad. I enjoyed both. For the main course I had a 7 oz filet medium rare in a cream sauce, vegetables (Squash and Zucchini), braband potatoes and a lobster tail. The streak was tender and juicy. I was very happy with my meal. As for the service she was very attentive even when she was super busy.

Excellente table, des plats cuisinés à la perfection par un chef à la recherche d'authenticité culinaire. The quality of the food, the presentation, the service, everything is perfect including an atmosphere unique in this prestigious hotel. The price is affordable if you think of the package this restaurant is offering. Highly recommended.

Theodore's, the restaurant inside the Rough Riders Hotel, has unbelievable food options. Seriously it's unreal. And Donnie behind the bar is the best Bartender/mixologist I've ever met. He creates his own drinks, brings back vintage drinks made the old way, and my guy knows how to work a room. He can have that whole bar talking and laughing with each other and he puts on a show when making his drinks. He can tell you the history of a drink and the science behind it. He is absolutely phenomenal. Also, shout out to Eugene. He is that dude! Served us breakfast and hooked us up with great food options for breakfast and dinner. Everybody in Medora is amazing.

Dinner entrée of walleye was bland. The side of “Brabant” potatoes were the same hashbrown cubes served the next morning for breakfast. Beet salad was good.Breakfast service was awful. We were promptly seated, and served a cup of coffee, but then we’re forgotten. The couple who came in after us actually had their food before we even placed an order. Once the waitress did come back, she did repeatedly apologize. We didn’t make a big fuss about it but when the bill came, the coffee was comped and there was a five dollar discount. Oh, and the grits were cold and lumpy.

This place was awesome. We sat in the bar and the bartender, John, put on a show mixing up his special cocktails. Best drinks ever. Had the lobster bisque, beet salad & French dip with truffle fries. My husband & I shared these. Food was fabulous. Best French dip we’ve ever had. I felt we had made friends by the time we left. Wish this restaurant was close to were we lived we would be here all the time. Our cost was over $100 because we purchased 2 bottles of wine to go.

I had the lobster bisque, green salad, prime rib, and the blood orange cheese cake. The bisque was super, the prime rib medium rare was perfectly cooked and way more than I could eat at one sitting. Garlic mashed potatoes and fresh grilled julienned vegetables filled out the plate. Definitely worth a visit for a well prepared, presented, and professionally serviced dining. We'll be back.

For a sit down meal in a town with no other nice restaurants this is a completely acceptable option and worth one night during your visit to Medora. There are plenty of gluten free options here and some options that can be modified to make them gluten free so be sure to speak to your waiter/waitress. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and not afraid to speak to the chef about modification so we could get the lobster bisque. It should be noted that this is located inside the Rough Riders hotel.
