I arrived into the café today for a coffee and a sandwich. Went to the counter to order, staff offered me a cup for the coffee and told me she would be with me in a moment. Waited and no sign. I picked up a menus. Still no sign of staff. Behind me there was a staff member sitting with someone, chatting. No sign of help. It was not busy. Two tables were occupied and served. Still no service. Another customer came in, ordered at the counter and still no server over to ask what I wished to order. Finally went to the counter to pay for the coffee and the only response I received I was going to get to you". This is the second time I have been here since the new owners took over. Absolutely the best bagels, sandwiches and coffee you can get anywhere! I had the BLT on a cheese bagel and it was to die for. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss this place!!!

Looks like a really nice place but it’s never open! Hours posted are suggested only, so be ready with a plan B (hint - there is no plan B because it’s the only coffee within 10km).

This place was super cute and nice and gave great helpings of ice cream. This place has a plain menu but nonetheless this place is still nice and cozy. My biggest problem is the prices but then again, many small businesses are pricey, but they do give you the best product for your money. This is definetly one of those places.

This Cafe is the best I have been too. Such a rustic Antique look it's beautiful and the food and drinks are phenomenal. The quality of all product you receive is well worth your money and then some. The staff is also great ! Always have a smile on their faces ! Shout out to tracey

Update! Phenomenal food all homemade. Excellent staff! Really nice place to visit. Seating has changed since my last review at the start of covid. Now very covid careful, great ambiance, tin ceilings and great interior design. The jewel of Sunderland in my opinion. Lunch was busy but delicious.
