Tasty dishes, comfortable atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff. We went in almost closing time, but I would like to go again at earlier time to enjoy more of their dishes!! This is must go place!!

Typical Guu menu with daily specials. Food quality was good and prices are fair considering today's inflation. We ordered 7 dishes for 3 people and the bill was under $30 each. We didn't order any drinks though. Atmosphere was loud loud as we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience at a convenient location.

Ordered the yellowtail sashimi, pan fried upon, squid, and fried chicken. Everything was great. Good portions and dishes came out fresh. A little wait for the food but worth it. Would definitely go back.

Great place to have decent Japanese food and all Japanese Service. Ticking all the boxes (except the bento one ;-) ).

Different from the other Guu locations and initially thought we wouldn’t like it but when we got to try the food it surprisingly good. What we ordered was basic but it was still a good lunch although a bit pricy but inflation everywhere.

Right across from TELUS in nearby the bed so good for tourist and local so like for a real authentic Japanese experience with young energetics staff and cooks with defined dishes, including appetizers, entrées and dessert. Wow the cheesecake U2 with green tea is just amazing so go check it out and be a regular to experience this wonderful neighbourhood place that’s better than their other locations photo three

New guu location on Robson and Seymour! Guu toramasa offers the typical guu izakaya concept and dishes, but introduces Osaka street food as well. I made a reservation on open table and we were seated promptly.Ordered a few dishes to share between two people. My favorite was the smashing takoyaki with the prawn crackers ($7.80). Flavourful and fun to eat. The yaki udon ($15.50) was great with beef, mushroom, green onion and bonito flakes as well. The ikamaru ($13) had amazing umami flavor. Loved the grilled whole squid with garlic mayo. The most disappointing was the ebi mayo ($14.80)- they were not what we expected. The prawns were so small and not worth it. We were expecting the bigger ones at the other guu locations.I really enjoyed the lychee beer ($7) and service was nice and prompt.

I had dinner with 10 friends before going nightclub yesterday. Even though we made seperate 10 orders, we had to split bill equally by 10 ppl. I felt so angry, awkward at this restaurant and never go back again. My boyfriend and I just order Beef tendon Yokisoba $18 and three kinds of Appertizer $15" so that means our bill was $33 + tax for both of us. Unlucky

For those acquainted with the Guu's four other locations in Downtown Vancouver, Guu Toramasa brings the familiar izakaya style experience with a focus on Osaka specialty dishes. One of their must try is the Takoyaki. Instead of serving it as is, each takoyaki comes with crackers in which you sandwich" it to create a wonderful combination of both soft and crunchy. The rotating daily specials is what keeps every Guu location exciting and I highly recommend looking at it first and then choosing from their regular menu. Service at this location was also great as all staff are friendly and attentive leading to a positive experience."

The food was very good. But the service has more space to improve. They didn’t take our order properly, I had a small flies in my drink, and they charged us wrong. We could hear what they are talking about customers. I think staff assumed that we don’t understand Japanese, but we did.Compare to other Guu restaurants, this place need better trainings. It was not a comfortable place to go. I won’t come here again.
