Talk about attentive. The owners of this store are VERY aware of the needs of local industry because they LISTEN to suggestions. Wasn't too long ago I was looking for a pen magnet... an item typically limited to geologists or prospectors as they check for magnetism in rocks. I had already been to Thunder Bay and did not find it at the usual outdoor place (which always had the item until Spring 2021) , but when I visited Marino's Hardware and asked Jim, he said he had them. WHAT? And it was only $7.95. I asked Jim why he decided to stock pen magnets. He said that over the years he met a geologist who once suggested it. Awesome!

The Marino brothers always know their stuff. They have all sorts of stuff and a lot more in the back so make sure to ask them. They are always exceptionally friendly, know what they are talking about, and can help you through almost any problem. It can be a little hard to find stuff in there sometimes, so don't be shy to ask; they will bring you what you're looking for right away.
