The Dog Wizard Grand Rapids

I will always recommend Dog Wizard to everyone! Sarah is outstanding at what she does, we were so blessed to have her train our dog. The progress and freedom is unbelievable!! We are so thankful for this program and all that it does for dogs and their owners. Thank you so much for giving us the tools that we need and the confidence to be great dog parents. :)

SHE'S A REAL WIZARD, HARRY!I'm literally not joking. Sarah and the Dog Wizard team/programs worked magic with my two pups! They left her training with so much confidence and a great baseline of obedience. Best of all, the training is easy for me to execute and work with the dogs so they have continued success. Sarah is also EXCELLENT at following up with us (during and after training) and checking in to make sure we are doing well, and asking if we need anything else! 15/10 would recommend - these training programs are truly worth every penny!

Our 6 year old golden mix, Emma, was overly excited and at times incredibly anxious around strangers and other dogs. Her drive to protect her pack, especially in our spaces, was overwhelming at times. We had to make the decision to do what was best for Emma to make her feel safe and secure, that is when we found Dog Wizard. We are so happy that we did! Sarah is absolutely amazing to work with. Their team is flexible to your schedule and will do anything to work around your dog's specific needs and behaviors. In her past, Emma was a difficult dog to be around, now I enjoy her company and know she's happier as well. It is fun to help Emma work and learn new tools to set her up for success. We would never have felt comfortable walking Emma around other dogs, and near the end of her course she was able to do so! I was tearful, proud, and so grateful for Sarah and her guidance in making sure Emma was given consistent direction to feel safe and at ease in her surroundings. I would recommend Dog Wizard to anyone!

We adopted what we thought was a timid, somewhat shy dog. After a couple weeks of having him home, he gradually started to display major fear issues. It became pretty clear that he had very serious issues and he was essentially a bite case waiting to happen. I stumbled across GRDW while searching for reactivity training, and after scrolling their Facebook feed, I knew this was who we needed to partner with. Sarah and Andy have been nothing shy of a God send. We started with private foundation classes and eventually worked up to a board and train program. I simply cannot say enough about their skills and dedication. I've worked with a number of trainers over the years, and they are by far the very best. They do everything from basic obedience to aggression and excel at it all. Charlie has gone from a dog we simply couldn't have around anyone, to the sweetest, most obedient boy I've ever had. He still has issues, but we continue to work thru them with Sarah and Andy's guidance. I'm now extremely optimistic of the future we have with Charlie. He's going to do big things and we'd never have gotten here without GRDW.

Our family cannot say enough positive things about The Dog Wizard of Grand Rapids. Our trainer Sarah was fantastic with not only our dog, but also our children during the training process. She made it a point to teach all our family, including our daughters 11 and 14, the tools we needed to help our dog become successful. We came to The Dog Wizard to help our dog who was showing aggressive behavior towards people coming to and into our house (ups drivers and visitors into the home), along with aggressive behavior towards men and other dominant dogs. We were taught tools to help our dog be successful in these situations. To become successful it took many hours of working each week at home with our dog but it was well worth it. Thank you Sarah!

I would recommend the Dog Wizard to anyone looking for an effective dog training program. We adopted a 1-year-old staffy mix from the shelter who had never lived in a home, and was really more of a handful than I could handle. Our vet said they had heard good things about the Dog Wizard, and I called to schedule an evaluation. Ruby returned from 2 weeks of board/training with Sarah, and the results were so much better than I could have hoped for. It's like she flipped a switch in her brain that turned her from out-of-control, grabbing everything and everyone, into a calm normal" dog. She's still our Ruby

Contacting Grand Rapids Dog Wizard is one the the smartest decisions we could have ever made regarding our pandemic puppy"! Sarah has been nothing shy of a God-send to us! Our Great Dane puppy didn't get the socialization that he should have due to the circumstances revolving around the pandemic

I can't express how grateful we are for Sarah and the dog wizard team! Hands down the best decision we've ever made. Scout had a lot of separation anxiety, anxiety in general, and huge issues with strangers inside and outside of the home. Having company over to the house, going to the vet, walks, or anything that had to do with going out in public around new people was an absolute nightmare. Scout's legs would tremble, he'd bark and growl at strangers, and show every sign imaginable that he was extremely anxious/nervous/uncomfortable. After two weeks, Scout came home a completely different dog. He still had his same lovey and cute personality, but he was much more confident and calm. The way we now have control over Scout and know exactly what to do in certain situations is incredible. We couldn't have asked for a better trainer. Sarah showed nothing but love and care to our boy and transformed him into the confident pup he is now! Life is so much more fun and relaxing now! Highly, highly, highly recommend :) We love Sarah!!!!

Life changing experience and process. We came to Sara and Andy with our 6 year old Emma. In our first training, we handed Sara the leash and it was remarkable the relationship she built with Emma immediately. They were able to TRAIN US on how to train our dog, and the progress truly is mind blowing. I highly recommend Dog Wizard to anyone and everyone looking to build a better relationship and train behaviors with their dogs. We will certainly be using them again - THANK YOU Dog Wizard team.
