Transit City 2

Rent is high, no amenities (no gym and many others), fire alarm blasts everyday mostly at 8am, garbage disposal rocks the building but the condo will not do anything about it, there's always emails of people reporting people for silly things. Utilities are really expensive and feels like a rip off, you can't install a smart thermostat too. Condo is poorly constructed and is breaking down. Overall, overpriced and not worth it. Building looks nice though. This building obviously proves why we might be in a housing bubble.

This condo is horrible for wfh, and getting good sleep. The fire alarm blasts everyday. The elevators barely work. Also note, the building is exempt from rent control. My landlord just increased my rent by 600$. Building is absolutely not worth the stress in any circumstances

All the complaints about parking is understandable, but not very valid. People have to recognize this condo is the closest and right by the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre TTC Subway for going to downtown. This is main feature that makes these condos attractive. If parking was cheap and free for visitors, it would be abused and be taken advantage and would be a whole lot worse for residents. It is called Transit City for a reason.

Update 18/10/22: the elevators have been operating well in the last 1-2 months. We will see how things are in the near future (+1 star). Our rent has been increased though because of “inflation”.Update: 19/07/22: I was coming from work at around 7 pm and I met a nice young family with 2 little kids who were waiting for the elevator for around 15 mins. We chat for around 10 mins about how bad the elevators were and them wanting to move out of the building. At some point, I wished them good luck and started my journey up the stairs to the 50th floor. It was a great workout ! If you want to get fit, move into this building, you won't have a choice.5 Buttermill Ave. (Transit City 2): Terrible property management (but not the concierge at the front desk) ! Basic things like working elevators are a daily problem. 2 out of the 4 elevators are not operational on a daily basis. I am often late for work, and when I come back, it takes me 15-20 mins to get to my floor. Some other buildings around us have 5 operational elevators, so how does it make sense?Then, there is the random fire alarms in the morning and midnight, just for the person in the speaker (the speaker is right in the bedroom) to announce that it was a false alarm, repeating themselves TWICE like I HAVE NOT HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME !! I have nightmares of hearing their voices in the speakers.

EXPENSIVE PARKING.NOT CARING AND RESPONSIBLE MANAGMENT.Every day fire alarm test in early morning like 8AM with a very loud sound.After a long time they haven't fixed the buzzer yet and anyone can enter the building. (zero sefety we have here.)It's almost impossible to use barbecue as far as they made the reservation a big deal with prior bookings and signing forms and writing deposit cheques! This much paper work for just a barbecue!Finally you can see the photos I collected with my phone during only two days...It's the first time in my whole life I see someone has peed in the elevator and I literally have nothing to say!!!!Do not buy or rent any apartment or parking here. the management office will be your NIGHTMARE...

I had problem to login with building portal, Emma the Assistant Property Management helped me to set it up and resolved the issue in a timely manner. Also I have asked for setting up a new tenant and she sent me a nice welcome package that includes everything you need to know about amenities, booking elevator for moving, setting up utility bill and Internet.

Concierge are lovely. But the incredibly high parking fee (and wait list), fire alarms every morning for 3 weeks, construction at 6am every morning except Sundays, and some long elevator waits. Many of the technical systems don't work for locking mechanisms. While I found the place fairly clean and the room itself well insulated from neighbour noises, I'd consider these kinds of things when deciding to rent or buy here.The location next to transit is great, be careful of cars swooping in and out of the garage by the cross walk which is not super clearly marked.Walking to Walmart or nearby restaurants was not shoveled in winter, broken cross walk signs, and not enough cross walks. Carriages and low-mobility people beware. If you can't afford to park there or have a car, and you'll be walking, be cautious.

Anooying Fire Alarms The endless fire alarm which wakes you up at eight o 'clock in the morning and says they're repairing the fire alarm system but the fact is they've been working on it for half a month and they still haven't finished the repair and besides, such a joke. What's more, those four elevators can't always keep running at the same time makes it takes more time to wait for the elevator goin down, and the building has no amenities.

Terrible property management, they are never available to answer calls, take too long to get back to you. They don't provide proper information about the condo rules, parking spots, amenities etc. Quick to fine, slow to fix

Worst building ever!!! Never move in here, do yourself a favour. Smell of weed and smoke is constant. In this building you would always be up 9 in the morning because of nonstop fire system test. Parking is way overpriced, if your condo has no parking spot, then get ready to pay 300 for technicaly outside parking. Moving out in week and I’m happy.
