There really is no atmosphere but the food is amazing. You get what you pay for and the food is delicious. Our favorite is the crab cheese wraps so good. It's more or less to take out where you really can't eat it there

We ordered from here last night. All the food tasted the same? You’d think when you order different dishes they would taste differently. The food was also COVERED in sauce it was barely edible. I thought the reviews were decent so we would try but I won’t be ordering it again.

Great customer service and friendly however food quality very poor. First and last time. Honey garlic spare ribs lacking flavour, rice very pasty, the only decent item was the chicken balls. Food presents well by looking at but by taste is a completely different story. GTA much better quality in Chinese food than Barrie.

We love this place. Best Chinese Food around. I highly recommend them. The combo plates are an amazing deal and the chicken balls are the best. Not too much batter and perfectly fried.

Lots of Chinese food places in Barrie and I would say this is the best so far for me for sweet and sour chicken balls. Great taste great batter. Most of the other options are decent quality and packaging is good. Would reccomend

Worth the drive from Alcona. If you've been eating the local options you'll be surprised to actually TASTE the food again.Because at J & Y they actually season their food.Prices are good, staff is friendly.

My daughter and I ate from here yesterday and we both suffered with bad food poisoning. Still on the way to recovery right now but I do not recommend this place. Health inspection should be going in this place to check on how they handle their food prior to serving it.

Some of the best Canadian Chinese food out there, bar none. We have searched for a long time to find a Chinese restaurant that actually cares about the quality and freshness of their food, and J&Y wins the local vote for sure! For example, their Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls are not the typical 'all-batter, no chicken' frozen variety you find at most Chinese restaurants. They are the reverse. Portions are better than typical as well, and when you order a dish with meat (chicken, beef or seafood), it isn't 98% vegetables like so many others. We are really pleased to have found them!
