AWESOME shop! Owner is super nice and couldn't be more helpful. Extremely knowledgeable about all the new tech for skating and snowboarding. They have a ton of dope gear here and it all seems very well thought out to get the best stuff that doesn't break the bank. Also they do snowboard waxing and give good value for trading in your old board. 10/10!

Just got back from this place and I can't say enough great things. They set my son up with a new snowboard that would fit with some existing gear. Both guys that worked there were great and patiently talked me through what was needed and how to set everything up. I'll be back for sure

My Wife and I went here to do some last minute Christmas shopping and we were immediately greeted by the owner. We spent over an hour with him and his HS student, Co-op. They were both awesome, store is beautiful. There were also boutique clothes there, made in Hamilton, that almost upstaged this great store (my Wife bought a dress). This store is a beauty!

Went there wanting to get back into skating after a 20 year hiatus from and old injury, university and life in general. Owner is a great ambassador to this sport and had ZERO judgement only a positive encouragement. Had me setup with new shoes, deck, trucks, bearings and wheels in less than 30 minutes. Well taken care of shop, beautiful interior and great owner. Will be back for sure!

Let me start off by saying I'm a novice snowboarder and there's a lot of information on the web about what kind of snowboard to get, let alone the other hardware to go with your board. Knowing that I didn't know a lot about snowboard tech, Jay and his team did an amazing job at making sure I understood what kind of value I was getting for my money and went over a variety of options with me.I have to say, I did not expect them to spend almost an hour with me going over options. They really try to understand what you're looking to get out of a board, and what's going to feel right for you without reducing your options to just what height / weight you are which bigger box stores will use as a baseline. I felt super comfortable with the decisions I made given their input and I'm not sure I would've been able to get the gear I did at a better price than what Jay could offer.The Local Skate Shop team...keep being awesome! \m/
