Raising Canine

Signed up for Puppy off leash training. I have a large 8 month puppy. This dog has been off leash, has been to puppy classes ( but not with them and there’s the problem) I was told I had to sign up for private classes in front of everyone! So humiliating. My dog, she said was too reactive. It was laying down next to me as she was saying it was uncontrollable. Again laying right next to me not moving It was obvious she had no clue what she was doing and I think she is the owner! I would recommend Chasin Tails, instead, they are great! True professional trainers. Stay away this place is a joke

Took our puppy, Bailey, here for the intro puppy classes. Velvet and Justine were fantastic trainers, and we walked away from each class with a new found confidence, and trust between my puppy and I. We learned so much, and the follow up presentations that are sent out after each class is a great touch, to be able to go over what was learned with other family members to ensure consistency for my girl.I will be looking into additional classes here! Thank you for everything, and making having a puppy less intimidating!

We have had some great success with the reactive level one class. We liked that the dogs were separated, which definitely took the stress level down for us and our dog. Getting simple activities to do with our dog and not feeling overwhelmed has made this learning fun for our family and pooch.

My boy would be so sad without Raising Canines. He has a blast every week playing with his pals and the staff are so attentive. They provide detailed updates during pick up and even called me once to make sure his food didn’t have stuff he wasn’t suppose to eat.Absolutely love the team there, thanks for making my dog so happy!

We had an incredible learning experience with Raising Canine and Velvet. The puppy classes were so much fun, and we learned tons of information. We were provided with lots of tips and tricks, and the class size was perfect. Velvet is the best trainer, she is calm, kind, patient and we looked forward to going to class each week, we didn't want it to end. We will definitely be taking our girl, Nova back in for some off-leash training. We want to extend our sincere appreciation to both Velvet and DJ for giving us such a great experience on how to train a well-behaved pup. 10/10 and highly recommended by us!

I’ve been wanting to write this review for sometime now. But as we all know life gets busy with a puppy. Its a little long, but most deserving.With the new addition to our family our puppy Obi, It was very important to me that he learn through positive reinforcement & to be a fun place for both owners & doggies. I knew from past experience with Raising Canine I was in the right place with our little gem!At Raising Canine your dogs needs will take priority over everything else. Their in-depth knowledge & understanding of dog behaviour, will help you to train your dog to the best of your ability!Within RC repertoire of positive reinforcement training. Their believe is for us as pet parents to learn to recognize & reward nature given behaviours from our dogs to encourage calmness & focus. Ex, your dog making good choices without being prompted, such as lying down, sit,or gives you eye contact without being told. These are just a few techniques you will learn from RC. The importance of these methods, is so your dog learns to use their brain, to develop critical thinking which is an importance element of a dogs development.RC puppy training classes with Justine were a lot of fun with Obi! I found Justine to have a calm manner and she took the time to explain the skill sets we needed to understand in order to train our Obi. What really impressed me the most about Justine, is she always made her self available to answer any questions or help with any training related problems. After completing the puppy classes. I then took Velvet’s Off Leash training classes. I truly enjoyed them, Velvet not only made them informative, but a lot of fun! Her knowledge & true understanding of dogs gives her the ability to explain clearly what you need to understand when it comes to teaching your dog. The Off Leash was all about the importance of teaching your dog recall, understanding the importance of training your dog to listen to you regardless of what the distractions are, & what not to do when they don’t.We also had Velvet come to our home for a private session with Obi when he was about 3 months old. As he was showing more uncertainty about going on walks & he was starting to have some reactivity issues. The session help me a lot as I had a better understanding of why he was scared. I felt more confident in guiding & encouraging Obi to help him to understand that he is safe. I am happy to say he is improving & of course its a continuous labour of love.RC daycare services are also a rewarding experience for your dog! They make sure all of the dogs are happy & adjusting well to the space.Rest assured you are coming to a great place, not only to learn how to train, but also to help you to understand your dog’s behaviour, which helps build the bond we all want with our dogs!!Thank you RC for all you do.Teresa & Obi.

My pup and I really loved our classes with Velvetanne. We took the basic puppy training and it’s been a great start to our training. I love that we get emails with information after every class so that I can make sure i’m doing the training at home properly and will be able to reference it later too. Looking forward to taking more classes here!

We adopted our dog about three months ago. Until we began training sessions it was nearly impossible to walk her and she was very reactive with cars and other dogs. Our dog is doing so well and has become much more calm around triggers. The background info given around the things we were being taught really helped my partner and I understand our dog and WHY she is reacting. Also, how to spot when she is potentially going to react. It was a great 6 weeks! Would highly recommend.

We attended puppy training at Raising Canine, it was amazing. Our puppy (Willow) absolutely loved it and we learned such valuable tools especially as first time dog owners.
