L. Y. Cairns School

I went to Ly cairns 1997 to 2003 I really cant say good or bad ,I didn't realize that I could have learned a lot of things until I hit Norquest I did really well in English but math no ,yes it did take me time to understand English and what was it was asking me to do math I had more trouble in because I would understand it that day but the next day no but I did not make my diploma in Norquest . if I could rewind back to high school I would say to the teachers I don't understand what this question is asking because that's what they are there for is to help , now I realize I should have been there just for me and not worry about anybody else and the choices that they were making , now thinking about it should have never been my choice not to learn when I could have. If you have you are capable of learning and understanding do it because it will help you later in life

It was an okay school, teachers were nice and some were really rude and can be harsh towards students. I sure have dealt with a lot of mean teachers but there are some really nice ones too. If anything just don't argue with the teachers and just do what they expect you to do just to Stay out of trouble. I remember my English teacher was telling me I wouldn't be able to make it a high school to get my diploma and said that I should rather get a job but I proved that person wrong and shown them that I could do something different. Don't let any teacher bring you down if you do go to this school because if you have that confidence in you and knowing that you can do it. Just prove them wrong. I also had a bad experience with the mechanic teacher he was very narcissistic as he likes to start drama with students for no reason. But I did had some great times at l.y.cairns as one teacher I will never forget his name was mister.shreenan a legend who is a awesome person and also very nice.

I really loved coming here to High School during these 5 years. Those were Great Times I've Had in Miss Meheden's Program!Had lots of Wonderful Times at LY Cairns! Going on the ETS Buses the LRT On my own, also Taking the VIA Rail in Toronto Ontario at Union Station, now I take the GO Train on my own, Because My Friends, My Grandparents, My Mom & My Auntie Paula knows I've always been very responsible taking the ETS Buses Ringing the Bell on the STOP REQUESTED Signs and the SmartBus All along, for so long.Most of all, My Prescience was a plus to The Program!

i do good at school

It's a nice place to come learn. You come there to study math L.A. and read in the library and play in the gym. Some teachers were rude. To the students if there something you want to accompiished. Go for it. Work towards your future.

The work experience program was horrible in some of my rounds because the place where I went didn't like me very and some placement I prefer not to work with ever again because I didn't enjoy those places I wish that I never went to Ly Cairns as a student in grade 10

I Attended this School in about 1995 to 1999 after a Bad Experience and Struggles at Ellerslie I Had Mrs Brooks Miss Meheadin Mr O Connner who was very good but Didn't stay there very Long but got lots of help there and felt more Comfortable there. Animal Science was fun and the Cooking Classes and lots of fun little Events. The Christmas Dinners to the Awards Ceremonies. The only thing Missing I should have thought about was a Soccer team at the time as Floor Hockey and Basketball were only Done at that time. The Janator class with Mrs Clement one year was OK. I was so Happy to find a Better place here.

I'm going to miss this School When I'm done Grade 12 it's was a good School
