Woodington Lake Golf Club

This course refused to honour VIP passes even though they were told of them at the time of booking. A man who identified himself as the owner was rude and arrogant when dealing with the situation. He claimed the VIP passes have been an ongoing problem for the last 6 months and eluded to wrong doings of a former employee in this regard. Not sure how people buying the passes are somehow responsible for that, but that’s essentially the stance that was taken. In regards to the course, not sure what purpose the Marshalls serve. The foursome in front of us were obviously not golfers and when we mentioned their slow pace of play to the Marshalls, they simply snickered and told us we were fine. Very nice course but poor management.

Absolutely awesome service in the club house between the pro shop and the restaurant. The food was delicious and the course was in great shape and a fun track to play.

Awesome golf course. Two 18 hole courses. Very beautiful and the staff are amazing.

Woodington lakes home of the Ontario open, what can you say? We played the legends course, well first off it happened to feel more like the British open by the end of the round. We knew there was a chance of rain but it ended up being pretty steady that by the back nine our hats would drip water when looking down to putt!So let me start by saying the drainage on the course is very good. We didn’t encounter much pooling until very late in the round and never had problems of drives having your ball stick into the ground like a meteorite.Very beautiful and mature course, it has it’s fair amount of challenging holes, especially for first time here as a few blind shots not knowing what is there, including a split fairway on one of the holes, the left one is elevated, some nice long par 5 and one short par 4 gives you a real opportunity to get a nice hole.The only thing we missed is the 18th was shrunk to a par 3 as they were doing maintenance. Will comeback and definitely recommend, not the cheapest but you get good value here, nice electric carts and well spaced tee times, no pushing or shoving. Just hoping the 18th will be open and hopefully a little better weather!

Course is typically in good shape. Range is so so at best, no real hitting areas, just seems like it’s “there” but no one really cares for it.Have played it once this year and discovered they are no longer a golf Canada member, which absolutely sucks if you enter a handicap score, I don’t think I have played a course in Ontario that isn’t a golf Canada member, pretty disappointed.

Played the Legends course right after a tournament and it was in perfect shape. Thick rough, quick greens.Been playing in the area for a long time and not sure how I’ve missed this, loved the course and will definitely be back. There is a good amount of water, different hole shapes and elevation changes.

Played Legends. Fantastic course with a fun and challenging layout. Hole 18 is a gem. Rough was tournament style during my round in June, long and thick. Very nice club house with terrace overlooking 18.. 4 stars because bunkers are poorly maintained. Underneath the top layer of sand is hard as clay. Not expected from a course that charges 3 digits. Staff friendliness about 7/10. No longer offering complimentary range balls. Pace of play good.

The course is in amazing shape. Legacy has some nice risk reward holes. But be careful. Also greens are the most dangerous I've played this year. Will be coming back to exact some revenge!
