Stop Along the Way Campground

Nice spot just off the highway. Full service sites with grass and trees. Clean washrooms and free showers with lots of hot water. Free wifi. Connor the host is very friendly and happy to help in anyway he can.

People are extremely nice. Easy access, quiet. Great place to relax after long drive.

Erica and Conner helped my Grandparents when their truck broke down and were stranded for almost a week. They took them in, drove them to and from Thunder Bay, and looked out for them for the six days they were stuck without a car, almost a 12 hours away from their friends and family. Our family will always be grateful for Erica and Conner, both for their hospitality and their compassion. Everyone should stay at their beautiful campground!!!!!!

Stayed here along the way home to Ontario from Alberta.Situated right along the highway, easy to get to. Super nice hosts, nice grassy sites, full hook-ups available. Very close to interesting railway museum. You have to watch closely for the camp sign, quite small. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The host is so accommodating and friendly, as we had a unique situation of needing a place to work for the day. The place truly lives up to the name, as there is not much happening in the quiet community but it does have a lot to offer travellers making their way along the top of the great lake. Our dogs were welcome, and we were greeted by a friendly roaming rover.

This is a very nice place to stay! There was everything we needed. The washroom was great, with hot showers! And very welcoming people. Thank you :)

Had a wonderful couple nights camping here with some great hosts who were sure to check in and see if everything was good and if there was anything I needed. Choose your spot at $30/night. Super flat and real soft grass for a comfortable sleep.Hosts brought around a table and chairs for me in lieu of a picnic table.Wood delivered was $10.While there take time to visit the Schreiber discovery center across the street, the beach in town or the beach in Terrance Bay for the day, just down the road.Sometimes a stop along the way turns into a pause in a longer trip.Thanks for the hospitality and best of luck in the new venture. This camp ground was beyond accommodating for us! We are from BC doing a cross Canada road trip, we arrived around 9pm, after calling ahead to make sure we weren't going to be too late. Connor met us at our camp site, got us set up with a fire pit and fire wood, and visited with us for a short bit. We didn't need much since we were sleeping in our car but there was water within 20' of where we parked and clean bathrooms very close as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! We will likely stop here on our way back through Ontario on our way home!
