Station Road Co-operative Childcare Centre

I worked here recently as a floater/ cleaner & organized toys 2pm to 5:30pmThe staff were nice & helpful.I was only there for short period as of medical reasons & surgery ahead for Cancer & needing leave.This condition being out of my hands.I was off for the week medicated. I miss understood calling was the opinion not email from director.Today I was told no longer needed. Understanding that there is a daycare to be run. I feel, friends & family its discriminating as I'm not well but looking to return Monday have surgery on the Friday evening & return the Monday. This I pushed my doctor to arrange immediately to get back to work asap.I enjoyed myself however............Covid & staff chatting & hanging out in the kitchen isn't professional at this time.Toys should be in a closed area instead of out in cubby area disinfectaned & not on tables.My only concern. The Teachers are great & children taken care of while in their care. Cook is great.The director seemed understandable but was extremely harsh & wasn't necessary as I am returning to my old job once better in future.The director came across sympathetic & that makes me upset especially at a time with Covid.

Moving to Erin, we didn’t know anyone. Luckily we had signed up our daughter at Station Road to start part time. We immediately found such a warm and caring community there. She has thrived there, and as a family they have supported us so well over the years. I am so grateful that we found Station Road. They have been more than just a daycare for us.

Both our daughters have been attending SRNS since April 2022 and they love it! Teachers & Staff are wonderful and really care for the children like their own. We also love that the center runs through parent involvement as well, keeps us connected to everything that is happening. Happy we found this place :)

I couldn't be happier with this nursery school. The staff is friendly and amazing with my child. They're flexible and my son loves all his teachers, especially ms. Paula.

Great place to send our child. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and we can see what he has been learning at school by his actions at home (ie. Putting on coat by himself, learning letters of the alphabet, etc). What made us choose this centre over others is that it is attached to a larger building which has a public library and ice rink among other things. On a rainy or snowy day when they can't go outside the children can still go on an adventure outside of the classroom while still staying indoors.

Due to the isolation of COVID times, I was looking to send my son to nursery school because the little guy CRAVES human interaction. Initially, I selected Station Road because it was the most convenient to where I work. I was concerned about how my little dude would do with long days and how welcome I'd feel with restrictions preventing many socialization activities, especially as I live slightly outside the community: I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. First in the toddler room and then in the pre-school my son has flourished under the care of amazing teachers and caring adults. He loves and blows kisses to everyone on his way out the door and asks to go back to school every day. I have also been so warmly welcomed and never, not for a minute, have I worried about my son's safety. The staff are professional, but they are also wonderful people. I'll be sad when he moves on, but will be enrolling my daughter in the fall.

We love SRNS and the staff. It's a small nursery school, the staff are incredible and so attentive. My kids always look forward to their daycare days.

My son has been attending this daycare for over a year now, and my daughter for a few months. I am amazed to see what they have done and learned during the day. They really do have a very varied programming. The lunches and snacks served are made in-house and are very healthy. I also like how they involve the parents in activities after school, fundraisers, and the community Bunny Brunch every year. Another good thing is their involvement with other tenants in the Centre 2000 building. They go visit the library, the skating rink,the Senior centre and sometimes the High School students. Any outside exposure is good for a child's development in my opinion.
