Turtle Jack's Guelph
I recently dined at Turtle Jack's in Guelph and had a generally positive experience. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. The staff appeared to be well-trained and eager to please, making for an enjoyable meal.However, I couldn't help but notice that the restaurant could use some updates to its decor. While the food and service were good, the ambiance of the restaurant could be improved to create a more modern and welcoming atmosphere. Some new decorations or a renovation would go a long way in enhancing the overall dining experience.Despite this, I would still recommend Turtle Jack's in Guelph for their great food and service. I hope to see some updates to the decor in the future, as it would make the restaurant even better.

This place seems like it was recently in a hurricane and they're struggling to restore the condition of the building. See photos for the state of the men's washroom. There were also multiple leaks in the ceiling. These things can be temporary but the additional issues are inexcusable.We reserved a party of 13 well in advance. There were not sufficient tables set up for our party and zero clarity or professionalism by the staff to resolve the issue when we arrived (on time). We ended up crammed into the available tables and with a portion of our party at a separate booth.The service was terrible. I'm not sure what was worse... the personality of the staff serving us, or the $9000 robot that they have to carry food around that constantly stopped by our table because it couldn't get through. It is the most ridiculous novelty for this business and did nothing to improve our dining experience.Turtle Jacks is an OK chain to eat at - I've been to many- but this one is well worth avoiding if my experience is any indication of the calibre of management that runs this location.

Wouldn't recommend it with a larger group. Can't complain about the food, high quality as always, but we were there for more than 3 hours waiting for our lunch. Service was extremely slow, they didn't have enough staff. Took them 40 minutes to ask for the drinks. Overall: disappointed.

So… this has to be one of the worst dining experiences my family and I have ever had.From the front door service, to seating, to being served and to getting our bill, it was absolutely lack lustre.Our server was not friendly or attentive at all. We had empty drinks and finished plates that sat on our table for over 15 minutes without being cleared or asked if we would like another.The entire menu was highly overpriced and the portions were so small it should have been offered as a kids menu. If you are going to be asked to pay $26 for a chicken Alfredo pasta dish it should at least fill up to half the bowl it comes in, let alone have more then 20 noodles in it.Their power bowl was a joke. Said it came with quinoa and rice but I couldn’t find any in the bowl at all. Paid $7 extra for it to come with chicken and only got 3 small slivers of a breast.Complete rip off and we would never recommend visiting here for any of their menu items.When I went to the men’s bathroom it was in complete disarray!! Wood falling off the walls. Wallpaper peeling off everywhere. Urinals were filthy like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. And to top it off they had open live electrical wires dangling from what looked like an old light fixture. ** Pictures attached **They definitely need to refine their restaurant skills or this place will be run to the ground in no time.

I’m shocked at how run down the establishment is. The bathrooms look like outhouses with garbage all over the floor, 1/2 out of order and wallpaper hanging off the walls.My husband ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo and there was literally a grilled piece of chicken on noodles. Barely any sauce and no garnish. We don’t eat out often and when we do, we pick things we don’t normally make at home and this was so frustrating. It was edible but he said absolutely no flavour.The server was very sweet and helpful. I’d give 5 stars for her service. We tipped well because she was awesome but we won’t be back after the meal we just had.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night. waited a while to be seated, not a single staff member to be seen. Restaurant was empty except for 1 other table. the food was mediocre. The one upside to our experience was our friendly at least friendly. Wouldn’t recommend overall. 2 stars at best

Absolutely discussing bathroom, wallpapers falling off walls, no toilet paper in any stall, If bathroom is indicative of food quality stay way clear of this place. It was at 2pm so no excuse it was in that shape. I've been in outhouses that were in better quality. You can tell Management doesn't keep up with maintenance. Or care about this Location. Corporate needs a surprise visit. I Feel sorry for waitresses because they were really pleasant and welcoming.

My wife and I went there for dinner on Canada Day and the place was nearly empty when we arrived. My wife had the chicken fajita wrap with Caesar salad while I had the big wing sandwich with fries . We ended up swapping sandwiches halfway through my wife saying the wrap was too spicy for her . She doesn’t like spicy whereas I like a little and found it well within my comfort zone . We both enjoyed the big wing sandwich which comes with a variety of choices of sauce to choose from , mine being NY butter chicken . The Caesar was fine and the fries hot and tasty . The server was friendly and attentive, although we did wait 25-30 for our meals . My wife says the women’s washroom was a bit messy . It had a pile of empty soap dispensers under one sink that was out of order , as well as a toilet out of order .

Saturday dinner before a movie. Were seated 10 minutes plus without being offered a drink or acknowledged beyond menus. Restaurant was not busy at all, plenty of staff roaming about. Weirdly, they adjusted the seating in our section so there were occupied booths across the aisle from each other and a 4-top in the middle of that space, making access and passage difficult for everyone. Plenty of booths available so not sure why they did that, as it surely wasn't convenient. Restaurant was out of 2 of the 4 items our group wanted as entrees. Cheese dip appetizer came promptly and was easily the best item we had all evening. Server needed multiple reminders to get us cutlery. Beers arrived all 1 from full - not a huge deal
