Attentive staff and great Hakka food at fair prices. With inflation and all prices going up, I was surprised that the prices here were more than reasonable and the portions were generous. I am not sure about Hakka places in this area but compared to downtown Toronto and Mississauga you get a good value and most dishes here come with rice which is not common in Hakka restaurants in the other cities I mentioned. That might explain why this restaurant is so popular and it was extremely busy on Saturday when we came for dine in. There were people waiting to be seated and the take out lineup was insanely long. I absolut favourite dish is crispy ginger beef which I get at every Hakka place but in terms of flavour this place is one of the best. Even though it is not as crispy as some other places (might be due to the sauce) I still enjoyed it very much. I tried Pakora for the first time here as per recommendation and I don’t regret it. I would recommend the pakora combo if it’s your first time as well because it comes with Chicken, Shrimp and fish, so that you can try all of them to see which one you like best. I enjoyed all three of them but the shrimp was my favourite. My partner liked the chicken the most. Just be aware that they are pretty spicy. It was very busy and we waited a bit long for the food and there might have been a mix up but I don’t blame them as they tried their best attending a packed restaurant. The staff seemed stressed but were polite and attentive nonetheless. Overall good experience!

Always come back here for authentic Hakka food. Our favorites:Shrimp Pakora - good amount of shrimp and flavourful. Usually still crispy when we get home but on the soft side this time.Chili chicken boneless - good portion size and very tasty.Manchurian chicken fried rice - good portion size and very flavourful.Hakka mixed chow mein - tasted delicious, fried noodle with chicken and shrimp. Not spicy, good for kids.Yu Hsien eggplant - tasty sauce that goes well with white rice.Ordered the sweet and sour chicken for the first time. It was ok because the chicken was not as crispy as other places. Overall, the food was excellent. It gets very busy on the weekends, had to call several times to get through. Recommend calling early to place your takeout order. Will definitely come back again.

Went for the first time today and wow, I was very impressed. My friend recommended the crispy ginger beef and it was *chefs kiss*! Best I’ve ever had. Also had general tao chicken and chili chicken. Lunch combos are very affordable at $9.25 and include tea or a can of pop.No wait to dine on a weekday at lunch time. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit again!

First time here and will be back for sure. Let me break it down for you. Pakoras were 10/10. Excellent seasoning and good amount of protein to batter ratio. Chili Chicken with White Meat was good probably 9/10. Taste is standard, but slightly one note. Garlic Green Beans were surprisingly VERY good. 10/10 for sure! Do not skip out on this side dish! It was outstanding. Thank you to Karuna who guided us through the menu tonight. She was quite helpful. Great service!

I love Indian style Hakka Chinese food! I was first introduced to this style of food many years ago at Federick, located in Scarborough. Since then, many similar restaurants have popped up all over the city.I recently had lunch with a friend at Federick in Markham, their newer location. We ordered the Manchurian Chicken and Beef with Mixed Vegetables from their lunch specials menu. At $9.25, including rice and a drink, this was a bargain.The chicken, battered, fried, and covered with a rich spicy sauce was delicious. The beef dish, on the other hand, lacked flavour. It wasn't terrible but it needed some help. Adding a touch of salt and some pepper sauce helped.Although the service was good, we observed a few things that could be improved. The most obvious was streaks on the table from being improperly wiped. The plates and serving platters were scuffed and chipped.Would I consider coming back? Maybe...

I am a great fan of Hakka cuisine and it is one of my favourites. There are many Hakka restaurants sprinkled around Toronto and I have eaten in quite a few of them with varying results. Fredrick's at Markham Road is one which made me sit up and say Ah Ha! Finally a place I can say Yahoo to. Really. It's a great place, well designed, with great service and good quantities. I am allergic to MSM and the chef readily greed to see that my food came without the famous Ajinomoto. The corn soup was absolutely perfect as was the Cantonese Chow mein. Its a bit far from where I stay but what is a little distance when it comes to eating great food? Thank you Fredricks. Thank you for the service.

Another one of my favourite Hakka places in Markham. The food is always done just right with the right amount of spice. I ordered the typical Chicken Pakora, Chili Chicken and tried something new in the Singapore Fried Rice. The Chili Chicken dry is always cooked with the right amount of spices and when mixed with steamed rice it complements each other. The Chicken Pakora taste so much better when you squeeze the lemon they provide on it. The Singapore Fried rice is a nice addition of flavour of a fried rice that has chicken and shrimp.

The BEST Indian Chinese food! It's just simple....you need to try the food. It is so tasty. The ginger beef is perfect, sweet and sour chicken has excellent sauce, the ginger chicken was something new I tried and we all loved it. The pakora chicken is not greasy. It's definitely a win in my books! Go and try their food....it won't disappoint you.
