Rooms were the std fare, suitably clean but dated. The night staff at the front desk was rude...and a very odd fella. Daytime staff were fine but didn't fully explain things. The included breakfast was awesome and you could really fill up on quality breakfast items! Best part of the stay imho.

Service at the front desk was friendly and polite, and I was given clear direction to the room (the lift is in a slightly odd space). The room was clean and tidy, bathroom was a good size and well maintained. Nothing about the room was amazing, but it was pretty standard as far as hotels go.I've subtracted one star as the room AC could not be controlled at all - it was set to the same as the rest of the building, which was slightly too warm for my personal preference, resulting in a few nights of poor sleep quality. The office chair was also a bit worse for wear, and too low to the ground to be comfortable.Overall, I would stay again, but hopefully they change their stance on the AC, especially considering there are controls in the room!

Booked Online with Credit Card - Forced to Pay $550 Cash for $216 Reservation!!My adult daughter took her first solo road trip to Edmonton for a coaching convention. I made the reservation for her online directly through the Best Western website. Upon arrival, my daughter was told that her reservation was NOT prepaid and they needed a credit card to process the room charges. She handed over her Visa Debit card, which they refused. They would not check her in. My poor daughter was in tears. It's 9:00pm, she drove 4 hours and now is being told she has nowhere to stay. I tried phoning in with my credit card, offered to fax / email / whatever they needed to pay for the room. Refused. They don't accept third party credit cards". They don't accept debit. The only solution they would offer was for my daughter to pay $542 in CASH. $300 for damage deposit + the room charge of $216 + $26 in fees. I have booked hotel rooms for other people many many times

No idea what the rooms are like, didn't get past check-in. Total scam!Had reserved a room for the night at the military/government rate for $108+tax for the night, received email confirmation of the booking and rate. When I showed up to check-in, the total was coming up at over $800! I asked the lady at the desk what was going on with that and she said the room rate was $599+ tax for the night, plus a $150 damage deposit. I explained to her that I had confirmed reservation and price for $108+tax and showed her the confirmation on my phone, and she said she needed to see a letter from the government saying that I could get that rate. I showed her my military ID and told her we haven't been carrying letters like that since the early days of COVID when we needed those letters to get around interprovincial travel bans. She called her manager and then said that the manager had tried to call me at some point in the day to tell me about the change in room rate and that I had ignored her call. I showed her my phone and asked which of the 2 calls from that day would have been her manager? Would her manager's phone have showed up as my wife's number, or my friend from across the country?I cancelled my room and made the 4 hour drive to go home that night (for some reason all the hotels in Edmonton were fully booked). The one good thing I can say for them is that they did not try to charge my credit card for the last minute cancellation.Would never book at a Best Western again if there is ANY other option.

Over the past few years, I have stayed at this BW several times. I have always given them five stars. I can only manage a four this time. The young lady at the front desk, Rachel, was very pleasant to deal with. The facilities were clean. My wife and I stayed in a room we had been in before, and it had been updated from our previous stay. The bed was good.My complaint and the reason for only 4 stars are paying an additional $10.00 for a substandard continental breakfast. When paying $120.00 for a room in the off-season, it should have been included in the price of the room. Still, it was lack luster from the typical breakfast that is typically complimentary at other BWs.

We only stay at Best Western Hotels and this one was not up to Best Western standards at all. The room was incredibly hot and we could not get it cooled down at all. Beds were not very comfortable and we both had a horrible sleep. The furniture was old and the drawers would not stay closed. The plug-ins on the lights were very loose and barely held onto the plugs. The breakfast was beyond disappointing. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were VERY FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING! We will not stay at this location again.

During my recent stay at the Best Western Cedar Park in Edmonton, I unfortunately had a disappointing experience that left me dissatisfied. The hotel's inefficiency in providing room keys and their lackluster attitude towards customers, devoid of any friendly smiles, tarnished the overall impression of my stay. One of the most significant issues I encountered was the delay in receiving our room key. Check-in is typically a straightforward process, but at Best Western Cedar Park, it proved to be a frustrating ordeal. The staff seemed ill-prepared to handle the influx of guests, resulting in a lengthy wait before we were finally able to access our room. This unnecessary delay set an unfortunate tone for the rest of our stay.Adding to the frustration was the lack of warmth and friendliness displayed by the hotel staff. Customer service should be the cornerstone of any hospitality establishment, but it was regretfully absent during my visit. The staff members appeared indifferent and uninterested in providing a positive experience. Not only were they unwelcoming, but they also failed to greet guests with even a smile. This lack of basic courtesy and attentiveness was disheartening and made it difficult to feel valued as a customer.A hotel stay should be a time of relaxation and enjoyment, but my experience at Best Western Cedar Park fell short of expectations. It is disappointing when a hotel neglects to prioritize efficient service and fails to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. While the hotel may have other redeeming qualities, such as comfortable accommodations or convenient amenities, the issues I encountered during my stay significantly impacted my overall perception of the establishment. I hope that the management at Best Western Cedar Park takes note of these concerns and works towards improving their service standards to create a more positive and welcoming experience for their guests in the future. In light of my disappointing experience with the delays and the staff's indifferent attitude, I find it difficult to recommend Best Western Cedar Park as a top choice for accommodation in Edmonton. It may be worthwhile to explore alternative options in the area that prioritize efficient service and strive to provide a genuinely warm and welcoming environment for their guests.

We like to give Thank you to Alicia (Front desk staff) who went above and beyond her job. This hotel appears very busy and to me it appears understaff. There is only one person I have seen at the customer desk and the line up is long. The hotel is decent and the price is reasonable. We check in and we check out no problem, At about 2 pm my daughter realized she left her blanket missing and remembered it was left in the room she slept. We rushed back to the hotel. In the last 15 minutes of Alicia's shift, she handle the situation of the missing blanket and the long line up of customer checking in very well, the blanket was not in the Lost and found items, Alicia and my wife check the room but it was not in there, Alicia went down the Laundry area and sure enough it was found there. Alicia's shift was already over while doing all this for us. My daughter love this blanket so much, She and all of us would like to Thank you and give credit here for you doing an amazing job and helping a total stranger make their stay pleasant in your premise. Keep it up and here is 5 star for you doing an Above and Beyond your duties!Chris and Family

My room was not cleaned. I've found a bug in my bed. Though I was quickly changed out for another room. It's good value for the price. There is a restaurant in the lobby. Don't need to go to far for a beer or meal
