Eastern Star Temple

The reviewer who doesn't believe it's there, and gave it a poor rating, should check again because it does exist! It's a clean and well maintained building. I attend Eastern Star meetings there monthly. It's perfect for meetings, bridal/baby showers, large family events, etc. Reasonable rates from what I gather too.

Extremely friendly people, excellent price, great amenities. I just had my mother's 75th birthday party here and I was so pleased. It is the perfect place for the DIY person. I will rent this hall again!!!!

I worked at Provincial election at this location. Great little hall to rent for any occasion. Has full kitchen, large bathrooms, coat room, lots of tables. Decor is dated but neutral. Only challenge is handicap entrance is via the kitchen door only. Daily rental is in the $220 range depending on what you need. Sorry no photos as it was a polling station.

Loved this facility, very reasonable and accommodating.

Friendly Vendor's

The place is best suitable if the number of persons attending can be kept below 100. The parking space is too limited. Recently we had a function arranged here and the main problem faced was with the parking.

I went to a tolerable buck 'n doe here. The venue satisfied the requirement of being an empty hall with a well-equipped kitchen.

At first, we appreciated renting this hall because aside from the good price, as per him the proceeds they are having will be going to charity services. He was nice before the event. However, the day after the event, he called me because he was not contented the way we cleaned the floor. he saw some dirts on some parts of the floor and a dirt on a table. He told me that if i will not come back and clean up, he will take the $50. So, I showed up and clean. Hence, I was very disappointed the way he treated us. He slammed some things including the mop and shouted at us with swear words and pointing his index finger to my face. Even my nephew and niece who are minors received bad words from him with slamming of things. I couldn't hold my tears while we are at the hall. I cried inside the storage area and did what we have to do. We mopped again all the floors and he watched us while cleaning. But then after we cleaned the whole floor, he told me that we could clean only the parts that have dirts. That was AFTER WE MOPPED THE WHOLE FLOOR. Some dirts are not removable tho. I really understand what we have to do because we agreed at the beginning that we should leave the hall as what we get when we arrive at the hall. And which we did our part. I cleaned up for the remaining dirts that we missed. He could tell me POLITELY to clean up again without shouting at us like we did a very terrible thing at the hall. We didn't even break anything in the hall. We just left some dirt marks. This is a lesson learned from the experience and this is for the future clients. You have to document or take video before using the hall. So that you will have proof if incase he will not be contented the way you clean the area. We came too early on the day we rented the place that's why he checked the hall while we're using it. I can't defend that the dirts are already in there when we arrive. And the fact I didn't see him checked thoroughly the place. After the incident, what he was saying about the charity was not connected on the behaviour I experienced from him. I'm very disappointed. Is it hard to get back the $200 deposit because you just missed some dirts? Is it the right way to treat clients? I don't think so.
