I don't remember when I first met Kevin, I think it was on a renovation project in Kits Beach, but it's safe to say that I was thoroughly impressed from Day 1. I've been a self-employed contractor for close to 35 years, and one of the keys to my success is having skilled and reliable sub-trades like Kevin (HT Hardwood) in my back pocket. Over the course of many years, I hired Kevin to install all kinds of flooring including stapled solid hardwood, floating engineered, 1 or 2 laminate jobs and even a vinyl plank job out by UBC. On every single project, Kevin delivered. He showed up when he said he was going to, he did flawless work, he honored his quotes, and in the cases where additional floor leveling was required, he informed me beforehand and what the additional charges would be. No surprises. Not one of my clients ever had an issue with his work. I have since moved my business to Vancouver Island, and due to the current difficulties in finding tradesmen like Kevin, when it comes to flooring, I would just as soon pay extra to have him travel here to do my larger flooring projects, than wade in the waters of an unknown and an untried flooring installer. Hired Kevin to install vinyl wood flooring in my apartment at end of 2019. Did a great job and flooring has held up over the years. He was responsive, knowledgeable, efficient and took time to explain issues we had with levelling the floors. Wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.

Kevin installed 1,400 square feet of vinyl plank flooring in our home. We previously had carpet, so prior to installing the flooring Kevin had to level the floor with thin set cement. My wife and I were so happy and impressed with the quality of the work and have recommended Kevin to anyone who is thinking of having any kind of flooring installed. He is very knowledgeable about all the different products on the market. We found Kevin very easy to work with and wouldn’t think twice about hiring him again.
