Usually get takeout from here but dined in for the first time - quality is SO much better and makes a huge difference compared to takeout! Everything was so fresh and you could really taste the “wok hay”Got the combo that comes with lobster, crab, peking duck, sweet and sour pork and choy sum - the sauce for the crab tasted like a mixture of salted egg and creamy pasta sauce - MUST try

This is a busy Cantonese restaurant that has a large menu of classic Cantonese food and chinese barbecue as well. I've always had a good experience here although service can be hit or miss, though it's usually fine. The dishes are large and always nice and hot and seasoned well. Highly recommend the tofu fish casserole dish.

I have been here a few times, and the staff have always been fast and curtious. The restaurant has been clean, and so was the washroom. This restaurant is handicapped accessible. Each time I have enjoyed the dishes. This time was the duck, and it was delishious! The fried rice was very light, and tasty too. I would definately go here again, just to try something new. Even though we had a full duck the price was reasonable.

A great option for dinners with your family or friends. Prices are on par with similar restaurants and the menu is quite extensive. You also get a complimentary soup and dessert. The sweet and sour pork was my fave; it was super crispy and saucy and they didn't skimp on the pineapple and bell peppers. I found the tung choi to be a bit bland for my taste but I'm sure my parents enjoyed it.I actually also had gotten take out from this restaurant before. I had the spaghetti bolognese and iced lemon tea (cha chaan teng style) and all I have to say is they were not my faves lol. So I wouldn't recommend the HK-type food from here, but the family style Chinese food is really good

Blooming Garden is a relatively new Chinese restaurant in my old Scarborough neighbourhood. They've only been open a few months, replacing another Chinese restaurant in Woodside Square shopping mall.We ordered the Japanese Style Pork Chop Omelet Rice and the Fried Rice Noodles with Beef. Both dishes tasted really good and the portions were huge, especially for the price!The pork chop was breaded and fried, and served atop fried eggs covering a generous portion of fried rice. A bowl of gravy was included.The rice noodles with beef is a dish I've had from many places. This one was delicious, with a good amount of beef.Both dishes were under $11.00 each and included a drink. There was easily enough food for lunch the next day. Great bargain!Their menu offers a lot of choices, including Chinese BBQ meats, congee, seafood, and lots more. Our table had hand sanitizer and even a hand washing station. The decor is nicely done and classy.I'll definitely be back!

Recent Visit: We came here for dinner on Sunday. It was very busy. If you want to get a table, better be there early. They have a great selection on their menu. We ordered many of our favourite items and they tasted really delicious. It was nice to have a complimentary dessert (Pumpkin Sagos) after our meal.I have been their customer since their old location in the Chartwell Shopping Centre food court. The food quality and taste are even better now. The portion and price were very reasonable. The restaurant was very clean and the service was good in general. I liked the space between tables. It wasn’t crowded or busy when we went there for lunch on a weekday. My overall experience was pleasant and relaxing. Will definitely visit more often.

The interior is new and clean, but the food was only okay. The sesame chicken and fried fish were on the dry side, and none of the dishes we ordered really stood out.Service was hit or miss; some of the servers were very attentive and friendly, while others were rude. Our kids were looking at the fish tank (not rowdy and with an adult), and one of the servers rudely told one of our sons to move out of the way. A 12% tip was automatically added to our bill.It was very busy though, so definitely a popular spot to grab dinner, even on a weekday evening.

The Lamb Stew with vegetables has plenty of lamb with fat attached, and tofu skin.Wok Stir Fried Beans is very aromatic.Better come early as restaurant fills quickly in the evening.Also, there is no MSG in any of the food, surprisingly, as restaurants in Scarborough use MSG like it's soy sauce.

I’d pass on this place.They force you to order from their set menu during their peak hours but without telling in advance.Food is just meh. It’s your typical Chinese food court quality. I don’t think I could recommend a must try dish here.Service is lacking and not attentive.It is very fairly priced though, I’ll give them that.Nearly renovated inside so within is still quite clean.
