This was one of several strategic planning meetings that I have attended. I certainly can say comparably that the content, the facilitation and the overall day were above meeting my expectations. And thank God it was fun! I usually rate my experience high when I leave wanting more, but not unsatisfied.

I can't say enough good things about CJ's coaching practice and the programs he offers. The impact that his coaching has had on my performance and emotional intelligence at the office has made my work-life balance better as well as more personable with all of my coworkers. My career path has been more focused and personal goal setting has become a large part of my work experience. Thank you for everything, CJ and I would recommend his programs to everyone!

We have worked with CJ on many different projects but most recently we engaged with CJ to lead us through Genos Emotional Intelligence surveys and training with many of our leaders across the organization. I was a participant in the program as well and found his leadership and coaching through this invaluable. In my role (Director of People and Culture (HR)), CJ helped with my personal growth and was also someone that I could have really candid and transparent conversations with - which is not always available in that type of position. The tools helped identify gaps and were easy to use, providing feedback and action plans that we saw some immediate impacts as well as spent time building in longer forming habits. The program has shown improvements throughout the whole organization, at all levels, and the tools that came with the program helped us measure at the beginning and end to see the return on our investment. I feel like the program has paid for itself by improving productivity, relationships, stronger mission focus, and employee wellness.

I think probably what makes a “good” coach is pretty subjective. I tried a few coaches and found CJ to stand out from the crowd for the following reasons:- Professional treatment. I really appreciated that CJ is properly trained and treats the coaching profession with respect. He really listens, asked great questions and provides useful feedback in a way that felt like he was trying to better understand me and the root of my problem. He was relaxed and easy to talk to, but could always keep the conversation flowing with forward movement and focus.- Actual life and business experience. I’ve done a ton of work on myself and CJ kept up easily, even adding new things I’d never considered. I’ve had coaches who were referring to check lists and asking pre-set questions which didn’t apply. That’s not CJ. His coaching & unique life experience make him a capable and unflinching partner for that kind of deeper exploration. It was authentic and natural.On top of that he’s an actual, successful, former business owner who sold his business and has provided consulting. That combined understanding is invaluable.- Creative understanding. CJ is equal mix business and creativity, and I really appreciated his understanding of both sides of projects, entrepreneurship and set career paths. On top of providing creative solutions, he was able to guide me as a dynamic, capable and creative leader myself, which has been difficult and frustrating for me in the past- even coaches can be limited and skeptical! For me, that was the real benefit of his guidance, someone who could also see the full spectrum of possibilities that I saw available to me.I felt respected and safe in his sessions.He was a wonderful fit for me and I would especially recommend him for creative leaders and entrepreneurs.
