Used self serve pet wash. Very friendly. Asked if I needed anything else. Showed me the ropes, as it was my first time. Would recommend.

Friendly service, pets allowed in store, Smaller store but lost of variety.Staff very helpful if your looking for something specific or needs some suggestions.

Kind and knowledgeable store manager/ associate who really knows the products. Gave great recommendations and now my pup is ready for some Guelph weather!

The store is usually neat, tidy and fully stocked.The staff, for the most part, are not helpful in any way. The majority of the time they are on their phones the second I enter the store, right up to (and during) the transaction, and immediately following. More than once I've heard customers asking about things, and the wrong information is told or conveyed to the customer. Having worked at multiple Pet Valu locations, I know what the expectations are for staff, and this store does not represent the company well.

I’ve only been to this location once and it was a last minute decision because I thought maybe they might have a sweater for my Marty when the nights get cold at the cottage. They had very few selections understandably, but they had one sweater I really liked, except it was too small. As I looked at other things though, the man working there found the right size of the sweater in the back hidden under other clothes for him! I was so pleased and bought it. I also heard that the cats there get a lot of playtime and interaction with customers which is probably why they are so sleepy.

We took our little chihuahua lady in to petvalu looking for a new halty and leash. She is quite new to our family and is kinda prickly with handling". The man that helped us was all over her

Okay, this is a hard review for me. I LOVE the store. I've encountered 3 different employees over the time I've shopped there. 2 of them are INCREDIBLE! Go above and beyond, so please, to those 2 employees, dont take this rating as something you did wrong, truly.One employee, however, berated my disabled daughter for trying to bathe her puppy, who is VERY vocal about hating baths. This employee yelled at her, made her cry, treated her like she was abusing the dog, and made her genuinely feel like a horrible person. Not all dogs can be bathed quickly & easily. Especially vocal puppies! She told us dogs should be in and out of the bath area in 15 minutes. That's impossible, IMHO.It was a horrendous experience that has made my daughter never want to return to the store for fear of seeing this person again. No child should fear going into a local store because of an employee. That's just sad!
