Boulangerie Notre-Dame

This place may be good, but I visited it for the first time yesterday and ordered a coffee and a piece of clafoutis for my daughter. My daughter couldn’t finish it and told me that it had a strong taste of rotten eggs. I tried it and she was right. I also found the coffee disappointing but I thought that maybe this place might not make good food and left. Today I received a call from my daughter’s school informing me that she had vomited in class. I know what she ate yesterday. I’m writing this review to inform anyone who ate a piece of clafoutis from this place and feels sick today. I also want to encourage the responsible of this place to check their food thoroughly before selling it to their customers.

I tried an almond croissant and another one which was stuffed with a special cream, both were excellent. I was looking for a place in my neighborhood to get my everyday bakery stuff and I think I succeeded!

Excellent croissants and pastries with a cute little seating area. Do note that they only accept cash or debit.

Nice little bakery full of delicious-looking pastries and baked goods. As soon as you enter, the pleasant smells enter your nose. The service is great, and prices are fair. Highly recommended!

The last time I was here was day one. Their baked goods and hot beverages are to die for - not literally loll. I love the macchiato. Kept me energized and refreshed. The employees are absolutely amazing and welcoming. Will definitely come back. Before I finish this review I would also like to note that they have a room where you will be able to see and absorb the magic of Mamie Clafoutis. Enjoy your visit

The cherry clafoutis was just okay. The americano was amazing. The service was bad. The lady served me, and then proceeded to serve some one else (who happened to be also my friend). I needed the coffee quickly to stave off an oncommimg headache and even my friend asked her to finish serving me before taking her order, but the lady didnt listen. And, there was no one else in line waiting to be served! I had to wait to pay after she finished serving my friend, and then wait again for her to fill the cup with coffee ( 5 minutes). She had also put the my friend's items on the same plastic cafeteria tray as my order and there were no paper liner or parchment liner so the food was touching the plastic tray. I don't know how sanitary that was. I would have expected, when she knew I was planning to eat in, that the food be put on a plate straight away after removing it from the show case. The food was only put on a plate after I paid for the items. She got confused which order was mine vs my friend's. The 2 stars was for the great coffee. Everything else was substandard. I would not go out of my way to revisit.

The long wait and huge price tag is not worth it. Would not give us a fork for our cheesecake and insisted we would have to pay for a plastic utensil if we needed one. The single slice of cheesecake in question was over $10, for reference.

Best almond croissants in the city- and I have tried them all! Fresh, organic and mildly sweet, all their treats are incredible. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. My only caveat would be the seating- depending on the time of day you may find yourself without a spot inside (or outside) but the proximity to the Canal make that point tolerable :)

Pastry lovers’ must go place. It’s small and sometime crowded but it’s always worth the visit. Have tried their breakfast too. Nothing abnormal. But the pastry section is insane! Huge range of the most delicious pastries I can imagine and everything was soooo good. Don’t ask me to pick. Liked the crispy out layer of my almond croissant and the inner fluffiness. It was just prefect! Plus, the price is lovely and affordable.

Found this little gem on a long morning walk from my hotel in downtown Montreal. Loved it! Friendly staff. Clean. Loved the decor. Oh and delicious!
