Deep Cove Chalet
We came from Nanaimo to visit Victoria and this restaurant, because our friends recommended it. We arrived and felt very devastated, as it is by RESERVATION ONLY. They had many seats available, but said that they all are taken. No mentioning about “reservation only” policy on their website. When we asked if we can book, they told us that they are not accepting reservations. Also, we didn’t appreciate the a judgmental look at our clothes. Maybe we were not enough old and looked not rich enough to visit. They have a really cute dog, and great garden, by the way.

Deep Cove Chalet
Came in this Wednesday evening. This place is lovely! Staff is very well trained and professional! I really enjoyed the lobster it was prepared perfectly. As for prices they are very reasonable for what you get, because the food is SO GOOD. I just can not get over how amazing the staff are and the chefs are definitely well trained. Will be back soon.

I had such a bad day doing exams and coming here made my day. Ben our server was amazing and was so calm, he really should have a raise if you ask me. I do wish there would be vegetarian substitutes that you could replace for each dish. With that said I understand that if would take away from being a authentic french dish. Highly recommend The Chalet.

Deep Cove Chalet was one of my parent’s favourite restaurants and I had not been there in over 25 years. To my surprise, it’s still operated by the original couple who started it in 1972! And it did not disappoint! Food and service were exceptional. The setting is stunning. Will certainly be back.

Deep Cove Chalet
This was our second time here and tonight was a special birthday celebration. This was THE PREFECT NIGHT! From arriving a bit early and being invited to walk the beautiful waterfront gardens, to being greeted by Victor the Retriever, to the top notch service, then the AMAZING food, the amazing view from our table, then the lovely surprise birthday dessert....it was all soooo perfect!!

Delicious. From the Bisque to the fresh spot prawns to the halibut it was all delicious. Cocktails were very good (not a wine person) and dessert was top notch. Being invited to walk the gardens afterwards was a nice touch as well.

One of the best restaurants in town. It’s closing on Jan 2 2023. Been twice, and both times it was amazing. First time had beef Wellington. Second time, NY steak. Drinks are poured generously and service is some of the best I’ve had.

Absolutely perfect all around. Beautiful ambiance overlooking the water. Food is absolute perfection. Not a place for young chften or a quick meal. I would give this beautiful restaurant higher than than a 10/10. Perfection personified. It is a true erasure when eating here
