Tried to find an officer to return a wallet. No luck! All doors are closed, nobody answers to the knocks. There is a direct phone booth at premises - with non-working microphone. It is a joke of service. Our police has been protecting us extremely well!

Had a flat tire on hwy 400 at Essa Road north bound, today. OPP stopped and parked behind my vehicle until caa showed up. It's nerve wrecking sitting on the hwy!! THANK YOU, OPP for stopping - wished I had your badge number, to say thank you in person. I felt safe sitting in my car, while your vehicle sat behind me! Before you came along, I was getting more nervous, and hoping one of you would stop, and YOU did, so again - Thank you!! Great Service!! :)Please note: I was trying to acknowledge the OPP employee whom work on hwy 400 and where my car broke down. When I googled the OPP, I didn't know there are specific locations to select from - my mistake. Still just the same - thank you from the bottom of my of my heart!

Between 8.25-8:40am I was driving in the far left lane, going N on Hwy 410 between Williams Pkwy & just past Bovaird & the car in front of me hit a piece of metal & then it came flying & hit my truck. Initially, I thought it had just hit my tire, landed & I passed over it, so I tried my best to get over to the far right lane as soon as I could. I thought that maybe my tire was going to lose pressure & so I drove cautiously to the next exit. There was no indication of anything wrong, so I thought I hadn't sustained much or any damage & proceeded to continue to drop my kids off at Daycare which is just off of Great Lakes Dr.When I got out of the truck, I checked to see if there was any damage to my tire, I was in shock to realize the extent of the damage that actually occurred to my bumper not my tire.I took pictures, I dropped the kids off. I managed to put the loose piece of bumper back up & drove home extremely slowly with my hazards on & once home I called my insurance. After being on the phone with the insurance for quite some time, they advised that they will arrange a tow as I didn't feel comfortable driving the vehicle anymore with that piece of bumper loose & my light being loose in the bumper. They also arranged a rental for me. I asked the insurance agent, if I should contact someone to report this. She said I can but it is not mandatory. I felt it was my responsibility to report it & thought the appropriate person would want to go make sure that the debris was off the road. While waiting for the tow, (keep in mind - every person I spoke to from this point out, knew why I was calling & that I wanted to file a report about the incident) I called the City of Brampton. They told me I would have to call the MTO or the police. I called PRP. They told me I have to call the OPP non-emerge line. I called OPP, they told me I have to attend in person & they sent me a text with instructions. The text was a link which directed me to their website for info about reporting a collision & which centres to go to.Once I got towed, sorted things out at the body shop & got a rental, I drove over to this OPP CRC. I arrived there roughly at 12:20-12:25pm.I was met by a female officer with a Quebec accent - I didn't get her name or info unfortunately, my brain froze when dealing with her because she was extremely rude, condescending & self-righteous. I was in absolute shock at how I was being treated & spoken to.I told her what I was there for & she basically spent her time interrogating me, talking down to me & scolding me because I apparently did everything wrong. She was not happy that I didn't have the vehicle with me - she said 'no vehicle - no report' I explained to her that I wasn't aware of the exact protocol when dealing with this issue, as it's my first time & I told her I had pictures. I told her I am not there to ask for anything other than to file the report & maybe someone might want to go and check the debris. She complained about what time it is now & that I should've waited there at the time & called them on the spot. I told her I wasn't aware of that, I didn't know if something hits your car you're supposed to stop & call OPP. And none of the people I spoke to on the phone the whole morning told me that either. She had the audacity to ask me when did I get my licence, I told her over 20 yrs ago & she snapped back that it's time for me to go get a refresher course. Perhaps she's right, but the way she said it, her body language, her tone, her whole demeanor made the lesson in what she was saying go right out the window. I was extremely appalled & disgusted that this lady gets to parade around in uniform and patronize people like this, when I was just there trying to do what I thought was right. I'm sure there are cameras in there and she should be reprimanded for her actions. This is unprofessional & was absolutely uncalled for. Instead of her trying to help me or kindly educating me, she made it a distressing experience. She should be ashamed of herself. She's miserable & a disgrace to that badge.
