It's taken me a while to write this as the words still scare me. I was in a pretty severe state of panic, anxiety and insomnia after a 5 day labour and no sleep. I should have been directed to the hospital. When crying to Emily about what was happening for me she told me that sleep deprivation was a form of torture hundreds of years ago and these words haunted me for months. Like was I being tortured? Will this continue forever? What did I do to deserve this? I was already dealing with intrusive thoughts and that became the scariest one. I needed more help then what she was able to provide and the session wasn't helpful in anyway.
