Nothing but great things to say about Dr Kawam and his office regarding a recent hip replacement. Not only are his skills evident as a great orthopedic surgeon, but he is a gentleman and makes a patient feel comfortable and confident. Marcie in his administrative office also helped to make the procedure comfortable from start to finish. Any questions where answered well, without hesitation, and with a smile. Grateful for the referral to Dr Kawam's practise.

I found Dr Kawam to be a extremely skilled surgeon!Never having any surgery , I was very concerned and scared about the operation.I am not too big to admit that.His reassuring smile on the day of the procedure put me at ease.At 10 days I am waliking with only a cane, also with little pain.The help and guidance I received also from Marci who works with him, went along way to relieve the stress and worry.She told me what to and not do, and I followed her advice to the letterBellville hospital staff are fabulous in all they did for meThanks everyone

Dr Kawam performed surgery to repair my broken clavicle in May this year. I’m very happy with his care & with the outcome of the surgery. The staff in his office & at BGH in the fracture clinic were all very helpful & professional. Thank you all for your care!

Cold and dismissive office assistant. No post-op information or support offered besides the generic one-sheet that can be found on any number of websites. My major surgery was unsuccessful and had to be redone by another surgeon. This happens, I suppose, and maybe I'm just one of the few percent who this happens to, but it was dreadful to go through again.

This doctor has no bedside manner. He told my husband he had to have all his toes amputated and left the hospital room with a Have a nice day" comment. So cold and insensitive. Thank God we got a second opinion from a warm and caring orthopedic surgeon collegue who said that he may or may not loose one or two toes from covid but not necessarily!! .Quite a difference in approach and diagnosis."

Dr. Kawam performed a hip replacement on me early in February, 2019. I'd never had an operation but felt confident and secure with Dr. Kawam and the anaesthetist. Hip surgery is a delicate and complex operation; his skill and experience made it a really good experience. Thank you, Dr. Kawam.
