Love Neil Douglas for lessons and musical instruments and accessories. Kids have taken group and individual lessons and their teachers are very supportive and communicate well with parents. Staff in the music store are very friendly and helpful and prices are comparable with online and bigger box stores. It is awesome we have a shop locally in New West where we can get strings, capos, picks and tuners. Great ukulele selection too!

Friendly and professional with great selection, great advice and excellent luthier services. I had my father's Tombo electric ukulele refurbished here, and learned the history of the instrument at the same time. Highly recommended.

This place has phenomenal staff that are incredibly helpful. I don't know much about guitars, but had one that needed a couple minor repairs and new strings before I could start to use it. They helped me with the repairs, picking out strings, and taught me how to replace the strings myself.Prices seem like they're reasonable, and I feel confident saying that this store is clearly here out of a passion for music rather than to make a quick buck. Highly recommend.

I am a beginner casual guitar player and brought my guitar in for a much needed tuning in August 2022. I probably picked it up 5 times before I realized about 9 months later most of the strings were fretted out when playing higher notes. Liz made the adjustments while I was there and sent me on my way. She was lovely, knowledgeable and so helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Neil Douglas for guitar service!

Awesome service, friendly staff. Love the rustic interior. Great variety of guitars and ukuleles. Will be coming here from now on. One of the few music shops around vancouver that doesn't have insane markup on their instruments.

A gem of a little shop, they've got what you need and their service is awesome. My guitar set ups have never been this good, and fairly priced too. Highly recommended, especially if you're a new musician looking to get lessons too.
