Unison Property Management

We have been with Unison for 2 years now. Mac Gray is our property manager and has been very helpful to us. This is our first time renting out property, and Mac has made the process easy and stress free for the past 2 years. The main reason we decided on going with a property company was for that reason, and Mac has treated us very well. Our Unison team is great and has prompt communication. We are very happy with our choice and property manager.

I am utterly disappointed with the services provided by Unison Property Management. Their promises of finding a professional tenant turned out to be nothing more than empty words. Instead, they found someone who was completely unprofessional and caused significant damage to our condo.Within just six months of tenancy, the tenant managed to cause two major toilet leaks, which resulted in extensive damage to our property. It was revealed that the leaks were caused by the tenant throwing inappropriate items into the toilet. The first leak was so severe that it required the replacement of the entire wooden flooring, costing us a staggering $2,000, not to mention the additional insurance costs of $15,000. This negligence should have been a red flag for Unison Property Management.To make matters worse, the tenant had two dogs, and one of them gave birth to eight puppies right inside our condo. Shockingly, Unison Property Management withheld this vital information from us, and we only found out when our condo security and concierge informed us. Such a blatant disregard for our right to know what was happening in our own property is inexcusable.Moreover, the tenant deliberately caused damage to doors and walls, which goes beyond normal wear and tear. We had to bear the cost of $3,000 for the repairs alone. Adding insult to injury, we recently had to pay an additional $200 to have the carpet washed again due to numerous puppy and dog-related accidents. The pungent smell caused by the neglectful tenant has severely deteriorated the air quality in the condo.In summary, Unison Property Management's failure to deliver on their promises, negligence in managing tenants, and lack of transparency have caused extensive damage to our condo.

Mac has been very easy to reach, and has kept us up to date with all developments regarding my property. Always quick to respond to emails and answer any questions or concerns we've had.Getting tenants was a very quick process, and Mac was very knowledgeable in what the going rate was for our particular area.We are very pleased with our experience, and we look forward to continuing with Mac and Unison Property Management.

I worked with Jolene Webb to find my place. She is such a pleasure to work with, paid attention to what exactly I was looking for as a new renter in Calgary. She responds quickly and takes action quickly. I am happy with Unison - they do make you feel like family - and would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Don't use this company! 1 week wait time on each end to get things dealt with whether you are the owner/tenant. Both of us had a terrible experience. Jolene Webb talked negatively about both parties & was very difficult to pre-arrange move out walk through with. My tenant had to be evicted as I decided to not continue with Unison. The move out walk through was done while the place was getting cleaned and the walk through was very rushed. I was not properly reimbursed for my time/repairs. Honestly I think Jolene prioritizes selling homes over being a property manager as she delivers slow and suboptimal management services. I think this is a game for her at this point as she is trying to cheat me out of the last few dollars that is being owed. Do not use this company!

Jolene Parker:I have been working with Jolene Parker for the past year and a half and I can honestly say that I have no reservations in recommending her and Unison Property Management.Jolene is professional, prompt with replies, courteous, understanding.She works hard to insure the best tenants are chosen and any service to those tenants are delivered correctly.The staff at Unison are very prompt with payment and delivery of documentation.I sleep well at night knowing Jolene and her team are looking after my investment.

When we moved here from the states, we had never rented before and weren't sure what to expect. Jolene Webb has been amazing from the start! She made the process super easy and was patient with my many questions as a new renter AND a new Canadian. She has been super friendly and always responds quickly if we need anything. Above and Beyond!I received a promotion that involved my relocation to Calgary, having never been there before I had no idea where to even start in looking for a place to live. One of my Colleagues referred me to Diana and I don’t know what I would have done with out her. She took the time to really get to know me and understand what would be ideal for me. She took the time to explain the layout of the city, the different neighborhoods and their vibes, transportation available etc.She showed genuine care in making sure I would love not only my home but also the whole neighborhood it was in. Sadly the promotion fell through as I ended up leaving the company for a better offer but I can confidently say working with Diana to find a place made me feel like I was already home.

Anna Hunter was our realtor. She helped us sell our property in Calgary. She took great care of the selling process, advising us on the market value, putting the house on the market, dealing with the buyer’s realtor, recommending law firms, and making sure the property fulfilled the sale conditions. We did all the communication over emails, text messages and phone calls, since we were living in BC. We appreciate her work, and would recommend her as a realtor.

Jolene Webb is my amazing property manager. Very hardworking and attentive. She's very responsive and understanding. I feel much more at ease having her looking after my rental property because I don't live in Calgary. I highly recommend this company and especially Jolene.
