It was like going to the family restaurant. A place that was familiar and part of the community for many years. ALL the staff were friendly kind and experts in the business of hair. Very professional. Loved the colour cut and style.

I had natural hair down to my bum and it was literally my baby. I went to La Moda to Joanne and asked for a blonde balayage. I sent her tons of pictures of the colour and style that I wanted weeks prior to the appointment so she was prepared. Both my sister and I went in for the same blonde balayage. My sister went first and I asked her why she was going up so high on the sides because it didn't look right to me but she said it was part of it. After all was said and done we hated it because it was patchy in spots and not well blended at all and was not the blonde that we had asked for. It looked more like a bad highlight job rather than a balayage. We went to our local beauty supply outlet and they saw our hair and instantly told us that we needed to go back and get some sort of a refund because it was that bad in some spots. I messaged Joanne and asked her if she could fix it and she said that she could but she couldn't dye our hair back brown which we wanted after seeing it. I was watching videos on YouTube about people dying their hair red and then brown so it would get rid of the blonde and asked if they did that at the salon for it to work. She said that she didn't want to talk about the colouring process and I didn't understand why. Like she screwed my hair up so the least she could do is answer my questions. After all was said and done she said to go to BSO and get hair dye to do it ourselves. We did, and now we have BROWN hair almost like our natural colour that we were told was not possible. Spent $150 just fixing this nightmare. Switching hair dressers. Wouldn't recommend. Super upset until it all grows out.

I went in for a basic trim and thinning of my hair. Something I get done every three months and have never had a problem with other hairdressers. My hair went to the end of my rib cage when I arrived. Sam left my hair wet with half of the hair the original length and the other half shoulder length. (I am legally blind without my glasses and could not see what he was doing when he was cutting my hair) Despite never drying or styling my hair he still charged me full price. I went in to try to get it fixed and I was told the only way to fix it completely was to cut off all my hair. Sam never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. I went to another hairdresser to cut it all off. She let me know that there were chunks of hair only two inches long and only half my head had been textured. It took almost three hours to fix his haircut. It will take at least five years to grow my hair back and that doesn’t include the two inch chunks which will take far longer to regrow. I would never recommend Sam.

Nadeem has been my stylist for over a year. She quite literally saved my hair. When I first came to her my hair was dead from a terrible bleach job I received elsewhere. Since then she has worked it back to health and I am super happy with it now.

Carla is an exceptional hairdresser. She is considerate and accommodating.
