We had a creative wedding photographer who spotted this place on the way to our reception. It was a weekend, the place was deserted, and he got many dozens of amazing photos here with the beautiful architecture.

The customer service from the Licensing Department representatives is very poor for a body that oversees something that is extremely important to Ontario. I don't know what drives people to be so cold, robotic and to lack patience but it's frustrating. My general complaint was just the way that they deal with the registration deadlines for licensing examinations. Personally, I don't find that neither my college institution — Sheridan College or the LSO did their diligence and cooperation in educating paralegal candidates on how the licensing process works and how unaccommodating the LSO can be right off the bat. It's sad to think that a body that sets out so many rules to 2 professions can demand impeccable behaviour and duties yet it seems that they are exempted in how they respond to certain things, not responding to phone calls or emails even after 24 hours, how unorganized as a whole, whether that is the inconsistency of what the online announcements or updates on your profile account tells you, versus what the representatives actually tell you and so many other nuisances is just not acceptable. It's sad that we have to put all this money into everything from the get-go before we are even licensed and then after that it seems as if in the early stages they're coming across as despots with their strict response and lack of making exceptions. For example, they had all these requirements that they wanted done for a certain date in order to write the licensing exam on July 30th, yet their website kept giving us an error 404" when trying to download this form. For starters

The Law Society of Ontario seems not to follow their own mandates nor the code of professional conduct -- they appear to have no concern for justice or fairness when assessing complaints against its own member's unethical conducts. I sense grave danger here for the general public. Is the next step to express this concern or complaint about the corrupt system to the Law Society Tribunal?

The Great Library is one of my favourite places to study, research or just hang out and absorb the ambience of knowledge. As a Paralegal and a book lover, this place offers a sanctuary that is peaceful and educational.

I've had lunch a number of times at Osgood Hall and found the staff, service and food excellent. The staff has been very helpful in selecting wine to go with the meal. Thank you.

I love working in this law library in Toronto - it's quiet, packed with resources (both print and digital), and a great place for research. The staff are amazingly helpful and courteous if you get stuck, or need some guidance or help finding material. Don't bring food in, leave the texts you have used on the desk and respect other library users and staff. I usually take a big bottle of water in and sin to stay a few hours.

Closed to the general public on weekends. (I wish I had known before venturing out on -20C, and that's why I'm writing this review, for others who may need to do urgent research and think that the the name is justified.) That's apparently on their website. Security gave me extension 2209 to call which nobody answered. Another different extension appeared in this listing.

The Law Society's Great Library is an excellent place to conduct legal research, open to all. It is quiet, spacious and free. Though photocopying ..... not so much. ;)

The Law Society referred me to a lawyer a few years ago when child and adolescent psychiatrists sued me in a SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation). This woman lawyer did not even meet me in her office. She met me in a coffee shop on University Avenue. It was supposed to be a free consultation and this lawyer charged me $250. She lied to me to terrify me in order to give her a $20,000 retainer. When I left her, I was shivering and shaking and couldn't eat or sleep for 2 weeks. As it turned out, I found a little lawyer on the Net who shepherded me through the legal terrorism I was subjected to for 6 months while these psychiatrists got over $5 million from the Select Committee on Mental Health to drug and chemically and mechanically restrain even more children. As it turned out, they dropped the suit as soon as the Select Committee put out their report, Navigating the Journey to Wellness" where our wellness journey will be psychiatric drugs

The library place is fine but the complain lawyers legal system is a failure system ( regulated system) their officers only care to pick up kids from schools even work from home , they don't care how urgent the complain was and it took a while to confirm they received the complain ( one or two days should receive the mail in Ontario area)
