Fitness Town

I came into Fitness Town with my partner, in the hopes of finding resistance bands. When we entered the store, it was clear that they were either re-merchandising, or doing a major move of products, as the sales floor was not really in shape for customers to browse through. I came across a lone set of resistance bands hanging off of a machine, and started inspecting it. Only then did a sales associate approach us. He told us not to touch the resistance bands because that was the manager's set, and the only set in the store...okay, that's fair. But there was no follow up. He simply re-iterated that there weren't any more resistance bands and did not offer any further help or information about when or if we could purchase bands from Fitness Town anytime soon. It was becoming an awkward interaction, so my partner and I just thanked him and left. From reading the other reviews here it sounds like we have all encountered the same sales associate. He needs a refresher on customer service!

This place is an absolute nightmare. Terrible business practices. The staff are not up front about return polices. From the moment my exercise machine was delivered there were problems. This machine is brand new and I have had multiple service requests. I have been told conflicting information about the return and service policies. They refuse to replace my machine and send maintenance people over to try and fix the same problem. I have been left with a sub par/ defective machine as soon as it was literally out of the box. Email s bounce back, I have told them this and they refuse to acknowledge this. No accountability whatsoever. I was scammed and ripped off.It's as if they are purposefully wasting my time so I cannot return the product before the warranty expires.Go to Costco for more ethical business practices. Sure they are friendly when they are taking your money but they sure make it difficult when your product is garbage to begin with. Buyer beware.

The guys here were super helpful and easy going, helpingus find everythingwe needed and answering all our questions.Incidentally, we came in at the same time as an aggressive and angry little old man came in. He was immediately angry and shouting curses at the worker because the price he thought was displayed online was incorrect. The worker and manager handled the situation confidently and appropriately.

Great shop and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I own a gym and have bought most of my equipment there. They're alway willing to give me the latest reviews and point me in the right direction when I'm in need of something new.

After spending almost $300 for a Stud Bar from this business and many communications about my concerns about their claims regarding satisfaction guarantee I tremendously unhappy. Now I have to pay out of pocket to have something fixed that was brand new and unused. Be wary of purchasing anything from this company. The will not find a solution that won't cost you more money. Marina Tang, the Fitness Town Ecommerce Manager will just find excuses not to comply with their guarantee claims and Mark Ritchie from StudBarpullup.com will do the same. Terrible business ethics when you are customer guarantees online, take hundreds of your dollars and then tell you they don't like your tone when they try to shale you off when your asking for a solution. 'Take the money and run' This should be StudBarpullup.com and Fitnesstown.com motto. Don't waste your money.

I don't normally write reviews, but I have to share my honest feedback and give a 1 star review to this business. I placed a large order--$15K or so--back in April 2020. Today is March 30, 2021 and I still haven't received all the items I ordered! It's been over 1 year! At this point, I literally have 50+ emails with multiple people at the company and I still haven't received a clear response as to when I'll be receiving my equipment. To top it off, I paid for an AirdyneX bike from Octane Fitness and it hasn't turned on since day 1! The staff have told me that I'll be receiving a call" to get a new bike. It's been 2 months and I haven't received a call yet. What's the point of a warranty if it can't be enforced? I've given this company many chances

Over the years I've bought kettlebells, dumbbells, a barbell and plates, a squat rack, various bands and other bits and pieces. Customer service has always been top notch both at the West 4th location and the South Vancouver warehouse. Highly recommend!

Absolutely rudest treatment ever! Was looking for resistance bands and they had only 1 in stock, priced several times higher than the last ones I purchased only 3 months ago. The guy behind the desk was eating the whole time, wearing no mask and started screaming at me that they have NEVER raised prices. He got in my face, spittle and pieces of his lunch flying at me, and told me this is not 1818, we don't have to be nice to customers, you get what you give. When I left he was still yelling...'don't bother coming back!Will never go back there and encourage anyone reading this to shop elsewhere.Not sure whether the owner condones this abusive treatment of customers but they lost my business today."

I have a very positive experience with Fitness Town thanks to Dee Yaseen and Gavin. I purchased a Precor EFX 225 Elliptical for my mom on April 2nd, 2023 with Dee Yaseen at Fitness Town in Kitsilano. Gavin helped me deliver the machine and install it beautifully on April 3rd, 2023. Dee Yaseen was very professional, gentle, patient, and helpful answering all of our questions and explaining how each bottom on the machine works. Gavin really impressed me with how fast and smooth he put the machine together. Most importantly, the machine gives no sounds at all when you step on it. I have had several exercise machines all through my life, but never this level of service. Fitness Town deserves a 5 stars rating.
