I've always been told that if there's not something good to say, then don't say it. Nevertheless this review will hopefully come as a warning for others to not expect what is advertised.We were booked for an 0800 rent deposit clean with 3 people quoted for 1.5hrs @ $50/hour/person. The focus was on the washroom, windows and kitchen. 5 people showed up increasing the cost of the final cost by $150. The quality of the clean did not pass inspection (e.g. shower door frames weren't wiped down, window sill not wiped down) not to mention that the place smelled of cigarette smoke upon entry to the townhouse unit post clean. I will mention that whoever did the cabinets and fridge did a fantastic job.When asked about the deficiencies in service or an itemized account for 5 people's work for 1.5hours, the conversation soon turned to an accusation with threats of debt collectors and a focus on payment to be received.I believe that everyone tries their best and that there's always an opportunity for second chances; but without some radical attitude changes and evidence from others, I will avoid this vendor.

I was quoted $50 an hour. I booked this company for 2:30pm to clean my floors after my movers emptied our condo. 2 very pleasant ladies arrived at 9:30am (same time as my movers). I called the company to ask if they could come back but it wasn't 'convenient' for them as they had booked something else for that afternoon. I had the ladies clean the counters, sinks & floors in both bathrooms. I had explained to them that I had already cleaned the tub & shower & inside of all cupboards. I found them cleaning the tub & shower & inside of cupboards & 'reminded' them again not to bother with those as it's a waste of my time, effort & money. I had to remind them twice. The movers emptied out one of the bedrooms so they could clean the floor. As I only wanted to pay for 2 hours & thought that this was fair to at least give them a minimum of 2 hours business, they left at 11:30. I did not receive an invoice or receipt via email as promised. When I got my credit card statement they had charged me over $200. When I called Brenda to inquire & reminded her of the situation. She said it was $50 an hour PER person. When I reminded her that she quoted me $50 an hour & that they arrived at an inconvenient time, cleaning things I had already told them not to clean, she defended herself by reminding me that it costs that much because they are a company, not some woman on the corner. Consider yourself warned. If they are indeed a 'company', perhaps they should be more professional, provide some customer service & deal politely with customer grievances. What a waste of time & money.

My home was cleaned top to bottom in record time. They arrived on time and worked non-stop until it was all done. Everything was sparkling clean, even the appliances were pulled out and cleaned in behind. Well worth it to have my whole home cleaned in one day, would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Just a head's up.... never ever use The Cleaning Army Ltd. I have never gone through such a horrible experience with a company. With the cleaning company, we set a cleaning budget of $150 per cleaning. I was away this summer, and received a message that my cleaning would cost $300 after the fact, and when asked, she said it was a month since my last clean. This was never communicated to me or anyone else throughout the cleaning, and I told her that I was unable to pay that, as we had discussed my budget being $150, and she had previously said that she was more than willing to work within budgets. I had told her that if she had communicated, I would have asked the company not to complete certain things in order to stay in budget, but there was zero communication until I received the bill. After a horrible back and forth conversation, I let her know that we would have to let them go as cleaners, and that I would pay my $150 bill. I just received a call from a collection agency, and that she would be taking me to small claims court. The treatment of me as a client has just been horrid. The messages I have been sent have made me try to feel like I am a horrible person. In my opinion, this is a very unprofessional company, and I would never recommend them to anyone.*After reading some of the reviews on their site, it doesn’t seem like I’m alone in my experience. Very passive/aggressive messages, and very negative experiences.

This company will charge you crazy prices and not deliver even a fraction of the work promised. Avoid at all costs!! You will be left disappointed and dissatisfied. They do not know what it means to clean a house!

Worse experience I’ve ever had !!! Never had 4 girls cleaning my small house and doing worse then one person cleaning LOL paid all 4 of them for deep clean and all they did was take away dust and wash dishes which I told them not too !! Save ur money spend it on different company that actually deserves it.

We hired this company starting in January, I had just had a baby and needed some help. They were very pricey, more than I’ve ever paid for a clean, but was promised a sparkling clean house, plus their reviews were great. The first couple times they did not disappoint- the house was truly very clean. After that though, they were missing things like the mirrors, the corners of the carpets, once the entire bathtub etc. I would politely point out what was missed and the owner would be receptive and offer to take off a small discount which was appreciated. At $220 per clean I think you’d expect the best of the best and it was a bit disappointing that the little *extra* wasn’t there anymore. Different people came each time and it just wasn’t consistent.Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I hired them to do a “kitchen deep clean” for $299. I was told they would move everything, clean under everything, etc. When I got home I noticed many things were not done- they hadn’t moved the baby bottles, there were spots on the floor that could have easily come off had they gotten down there, the kitchen island underside wasn’t wiped (where little kids sit to eat with sticky fingers), etc. Worst of all, one of their staff members accidentally broke the door to our oven and the glass cover came completely off. We tried several times to put it back on and were unable to. When I told Brenda the owner about this, she came over to my house and agreed it was not acceptable that they missed so many things. She offered a $100 discount and I was appreciative of that. She also said that her staff member told her my husband had said the oven door was “loose” which absolutely untrue. He did not say that. I have opened that door without issue hundreds of times. Brenda said they had insurance to deal with accidents like this and also a handyman that could come over to try to fix it if we couldn’t do it ourselves. We made a verbal agreement that once our oven was fixed I would pay her the $200 that was owed. We then spent a couple days trying to fix it and couldn’t. We asked Brenda if she could please send her handyman over to fix it as she mentioned. She sent me the mans contact info (who wanted to charge me to even come and look at it). Next thing you know Brenda is demanding the $200 be paid this week or she is sending us to collections. She said and I quote “I don’t have the energy or motivation to deal with this anymore”. So we are left with a broken oven door , and she is taking no responsibility for her staff being at fault for this. I received a phone call from a collections company telling me I am forced to pay or it will affect my credit.I have never not paid someone for a service, ever. I had every intention of paying what I owe but I would like my oven door fixed first, as per our verbal agreement. I’m sure I will get some passive aggressive comment back on this review, but I just wanted to warn people that this company is not all sunshine and great reviews.

I had The Cleaning Army come and help me organize, deep clean and rearrange my apartment and I could not be happier. They pay attention to every detail and work in a timely fashion. I have never been so excited to come home at the end of a long day! I am so grateful for their help!!

We hired them for a move out clean. A team of 5 people came for 1.5hrs, $50/person per hour. It was changed from a team of 3 people quoted originally to 5 people the night before the clean. They arrived on time. There was inconsistent quality among the workers who came. One worker smelled of smoke when they came and our place needed to be aired out afterwards as there was residual smell. The person who cleaned the fridge and kitchen cupboards did a great job. The shower/bathroom, which I asked them to focus on had missed spots that we had to clean ourselves afterwards - wipe the counters and the track for the shower door. I had told them I already wiped the window sills upstairs on my own/cleaned the cupboards/vacuumed. Miscommunication - they apparently thought I wiped all window sills. Main floor window sills were not wiped and were obviously dirty, but I would like to think the person wiping the window would notice. When communicating afterwards re: the quality, it was apparently my fault for not being present myself to communicate and oversee the clean and having my husband be there instead. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of work for the amount paid as well as the professionalism of communication afterwards.

I have had several different cleaning people over the years. They were all so-so. The Cleaning Army is AMAZING! If on the odd occasion they happen to miss something, I bring it to their attention and they fix it immediately. After all, they are human.They are a great group of professional ladies. I would highly recommend them.
