Discovery Walk-In & Medical Clinic

on Sunday June 11, at around 10:30am, we came into this place as our house cat attacked my fiancee and we were concerned, really concerned, we saw the note on the door that says that they are full for the day, but we went in to ask anyway due to the urgency of the situation, the reception desk didn't want to help us because they are full, so they said to go to a different walk in all the way in the northside of the city, good thing Red deer is a small city but they weren't willing to help us knowing that cat attacks are actually pretty serious matter as per our family doctor here in Edmonton. Very disappointed in the lack of care of this place, i saw the reviews about how good the doctors are here but your receptionist customer service will give this place a really bad reputation so Good luck.!

Need to work on time management skills and customer service skills. Only one friendly secretary in this establishment, the rest are rude. I had an appointment at 1:20 for a doctor I’ve been seeing for 3 years and it has been an hour since I’ve come. Definitely has gone downhill since I’ve been coming here, front desk staff need to either be replaced or trained better. My family members have all had the same experiences

I have used this clinic 3 times now and they are Never friendly or helpful!They are always over a half hour late (I really don’t even care about that but I’m they act like you did something wrong by being here. Or it’s your fault they are late)They don’t care about your time our health or the problem you came in with they care about getting you in and out as fast as they can and getting to the next appointment or getting you sent for anything they can get payed for.This place makes you feed like you are nothing but a cheque $. If they can’t make money off of seeing you they will not help you! 100% their only goal is making money not patient care! And they do their absolute best to make sure you know that’s how they feel.

Horrible, Horrible clinic to tey to make appointments. I can never het through and when I finally get through, I was put on hold for 15mins never apologize for how long I had to wait on the phone. I been trying for weeks to get an appointment and it's imposible.I dont get why the doctor s of this clinic dont see how bad this is.

Came as a walk in only 45 minutes after they opened and they have a sign out saying they are to busy to see patients though there's only 4 people total in the waiting room. This is the 2nd time this has happened leading me to believe this place a is a outright joke and I would highly recommend going somewhere else because it seems this place has lazy staff and lazy doctors if they are turning people away 45mins after opening with 4 people in side waiting with a out 30 chairs open.

Doesnt answer calls when open, not that they missed it, they actually have it in their schedule that they dont answer calls for about a third of the time they are open. So i show up and they tell theyre not accepting walk ins, this is why i tried to call in the first place. Then the lady has a feisty attitude like answering the phone to address these things is an outrageous expectation. Never seen such a level of incompetence at any clinic in my life.

Never really had a bad experience at this walk in clinic. My only concerns is the wait time can be really long and they don’t answer the phones. Other then that they have a great group of doctors who answer all the questions I have and are very understanding.

It’s Monday. No holiday. Canada Day was on Saturday. You don’t just get to close because you feel like it or to ‘extend’ the holiday, you need proper explanation AND to post it on google so your hours and open status are accurate.

I have been going to this clinic for over 7 years now & absolutely love my doctor. The downside is trying to book an appointment & dealing with reception… I have called 4 times today (all different times) & no one has been picking up (the one time someone actually picked up & then hung up on me I heard them fiddling around but didn’t even say anything to me). I need to book an appointment, but if they don’t answer there is no way I’ll get to book one. Make an online platform if you don’t want to answer the phones maybe? Also whenever I go into the walk-in reception never makes you feel comfortable they are always harsh & not friendly. This is the face of the clinic I would hope to see a smiling friendly face when I walk in, but instead I get attitude when I try to be nice… not sure what else to say other than I hope you come out with an online booking platform because I’m sick of wasting time calling & not being able to book an appointment…
