I went to ZombieProof BJJ gym a few times while on Cape Breton Island. I felt welcome and I had a great time rolling with nice persons. I would recommend it to anyone passing by Sydney, NS.

ZombieProof BJJ is one of the best martial arts schools around. The jiu jitsu instruction from Kent Peters is second to none. It is a welcoming environment for people from all walks of life. From the busy physician (myself) to the up and coming future MMA star, ZP has something for everyone and everyone is dedicated to having fun and progressing together. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

This is an amazing gym, amazing community, super helpful, extremely knowledgeable teachers, very welcoming atmosphere... everyone (especially every woman) should come here for at least 2 months every year!

My boyfriend and I just visited ZombieProof BJJ and had an incredible time! Everyone was really friendly and talented! Great vibes all around. If we didn’t live in Ontario, we’d be there all the time. Will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Sydney again!

I was warmly welcomed into the family of teachers, students and now friends at ZombieProof almost a year and a half ago.After the usual procrastinating and promising myself I'll start next month" or questioning "Am I in good enough shape for this?" Or being anxious that I'm going to go in there and have my butt kicked or.....(insert excuse here).... I finally sucked it up and walked through the doors. Meant to do this review a bit ago, but I started doing bjj here in may and trained until august and had a great time here. I never did any kind of martial art before, and Kent and the team here were super friendly and patient with beginners and advocate for safety when training. I would have stayed longer but had to move away from Cape Breton for a bit but I will be back! I was nervous to join BJJ because I perceived most MMA practitioners as meatheads. This couldn't be further from the truth. Insanely welcoming environment, Kent and the team will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Lots of great Jiu-Jitsu practitioners here, especially Black Belts Kent and Keenan. Don't be shy, step outside your bubble and sign up for a class. You won't regret it. One of the most difficult parts of having to move away is not being able to train here.

I can personally tell you that you will get the best at this school, the head instructor Kent Peters along with the other instructors at this amazing school can help you be your personal best. Everyone learns a different way and these guys will adapt to your way of learning and answer all your questions. The atmosphere is great there no one is ever left out. If your thinking about trying something new to get into shape try this out, after all you deserve the best.
