Chats Montreal just tried to extort me for money. A month ago, I took her in for some shots. They told me she teeth problems. They said they would need two appointments. One to investigate the problem and the next to fix the problem. Today, she was to have her teeth fixed for an exorbitant price of 1,600 dollars. A price I had made arrangements for and was willing to pay. Not including the fees I already paid to have her examined. I was just informed, that they only just today did am x-ray and it would cost an extra thousand dollars, which according to their forms I signed when i thought it was just 1600, if you don't pay in 5 days they will put your pet down. Any good business needs to be upfront about everything they do. This is not good business, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. They told me to come back in two hours for my cat. If you do anything to hurt my baby girl, there will be consequences.

Friendly people there. Everyone is so nice and patient. They carefully explain about what I should do to help my cats. Even though price is a bit high, but with the location (which is 10 minutes walk from my house) and the service they offer, I think it's worth it.

I have been taking my cat here for years and buying their products regularly. Today I called because my cat is very ill, has lost weight and can't keep anything down, including water. They let me know that they don't have any emergency appointments until next week at the earliest. When I said my cat could be dead by then, the receptionist giggled. I am sure it was just a nervous response given she had no control over the situation but I recommend not supporting this vet when your pet is well since it appears they aren't able to support your pet when they are not well.

It was a bit pricey for me because I did not have an appointment. (Emergency) but they took good care of my kitty :) They also have a very large and diverse supply of high quality cat foods in case you need to replenish on them!

highly recommend! dre nadine and janet were great at our appointment this morning. they gave me very detailed quotes for optional dental treatment as well as kept myself and nuage very comfortable throughout the detailed visit.

Vet looked at my cat for about 3 minutes then left the room without returning. the tech tried pushing tons of unnecessary tests for my perfectly healthy cat & added these things to my bill/quote before I even agreed to have them performed. Seems like a vet full of money grabbers trying to push expensive unnecessary tests. After meeting my cat for a mere few minutes they were trying to insinuate he had dental problems & possibly urinary problems said it's imperative to check for stones or precursors for them despite my cat being in good health. My adult shorthair domestic cat weighs only 6lbs and I was told that it wouldn't be safe for him to gain anymore weight ?? At the checkout, bags and cans of food were brought to reception for me to purchase even though I didn't ask for or want it. I was there for a consult to have my cat neutered and was quoted at a whopping 700$ because blood tests I didn't agree to were added onto the Bill. A blood test called PTT, They definitely assumed I don't know what that is and i'd agree to it blindly but as a nurse i'm aware that my cat does not require a test to determine how fast his blood clots for no reason. Called another vet i'd been to in the past immediately after and was quoted at 400$ tax included. Overpriced vet and bad service all around.

I cannot recommend this vet enough. Everyone who I met their was extremely kind and clearly cared about your pets needs and health. My cat hates being in her carrier and is pretty nervous around strangers, and the staff at Chats Montreal treated her gentleness and kindness. They provided her with a warmed blanket and basket for her to sit in, as well as dimmed the lights and played calming music for her to feel comfortable in. One of the staff also gave her a lot of scratches and pets, which really helped, while they waited for blood test results. I find that the price is reasonable, especially for being in a nice part of downtown. They're upfront with you about costs and they try hard to work with you to figure out the best solution financially. Amazing place.

I brought my cat Zelda in for a second time today. We truly appreciate the care she is receiving. The staff is very transparent about pricing; the cost is reasonable even if the clinic is in a very nice part of downtown. My cat is extremely anxious and doesn’t trust many people. Dr and her staff are very good with her and quickly won her over. My cat is very satisfied

From the vet, to the techs, to the front desk staff, all are incredibly pleasant to interact with. But, most importantly, they clearly know and empathize with cats.I've so far attended two appointments with them. During the first one, the tech took all of the vitals of my very scared six year old cat, who had recently made a big move from Spain. They set the lights low and played calming music to ease him, never minding if they had to pause and give him a few reassuring cuddles before continuing the appointment. The environment of the office is quiet and there is a conscious effort to keep it that way.(Sidenote: They have a strict policy on the clinic being for cats only; I have seen it enforced when someone attempted to come in for cat food with their dog.)Once my cat's vitals were taken, he got his nails trimmed, which is when he became the mean" version of scared. However

They were so sweet and patient with my cats. Super professional, very nice people and were super informative. I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable for the care and effort they put into making sure your cat is well looked after and comfortable.
