One of the nicer goodlifes. Has towel service and deep lockers to stow your stuff. Multi level work out areas. Clean gym with friendly staff

There is ample room and the staff are cleaning up in their downtime. I went in recently and was surprised by how organized the weights were. It's a bit hard to find a water fountain but I found one on the bottom floor. Other than that , everything is good.

I really like the gym and the staff is excellent. The members of the gym are great to.The location is great, since surrounded by homes and business. Why I'm shocked it's not 24/7 truly. Last night we were forced out at 10 PM on a Friday night.I think it's time this gym gets back to pre pandemic hours or take down the 24/7 sign, because its false advertising.

I’ve been working with the personal trainer Paulina for around two months and absolutely LOVE it. She has fantastic energy and keeps me accountable when it gets hard. She reminds me why I’m here every day and inspires me to only give my very best. Definitely recommend her.I also have to shout out the other trainers and staff. Very welcoming and knowledgeable, from the moment I walk in the gym.

I started my experience of going to GoodLife Aurora Centre with a personal trainer for two reasons: to learn how to use machines without the risk of injury, and for building commitments for going to the gym. And, that was a great decision. My personal trainer Zach, is one of the best trainers at this centre. He is knowledgeable, professional, passionate, and fun! With his dedication and unique personality, he has been such an inspiration for me since day one. I have two sessions per week with him, and following his recommendation I do another hour of workout by myself at the gym. My progress during the past 4 months is unbelievable, both mentally and physically. When I started, I had multiple health concerns including anxiety and depression, mostly caused by the pandemic isolations and long hours of working from home. I also had weak muscles, and an injured shoulder due to my past workout experience by my own. I had weight gain issues too. Zach, has been patiently listening to my concerns and always giving me valuable and honest feedbacks to reach my goals. Now, after just few months, my health issues are almost disappeared, I feel much happier, getting stronger muscles, more flexible and mobile body, and look a lot fitter! I absolutely appreciate and recommend Zach as a great personal trainer.Aurora centre also offers variety of great classes. I’m joining Body Jam class with Marvin. He is a great instructor leading the class with passion, energy and fun. You won’t notice how the time pass. If you want to workout and love dancing, this is a great one.

Good environment and community but the fitness manager’s is wicked. She suspected my account for working out with my friends and was told I was training them which is against the rules.

The property and surrounding stores SMELL HORRIBLE and are full of trash because they’ve never emptied the garbage bins out back, bins are filled with trash stacked on top of them almost twice the height of the actual bin.I don’t see how this is healthy or safe for garbages to be rolling around the parking lot from this gym.update as of November 3rdManagement at this location are completely awful, they yell at associates and visitors, the bins are still completely piled with garbage and different pieces of furniture everywhere, there is a gigantic power generator outside of the building now, it’s making a lot of noise and smoke around the plaza. Management should have been more prepared for such outages and had an independent generator for gym with such excessive power use, instead of using the one that all of the buildings are on and knocking their power out multiple times a week!! Ridiculous and management should be purely to blame for their inability to act accordingly

I had been a member for 5 yrs (2017-2022) going 6-7 days/week at various times of the day/night and here's an honest review of what you can expect at Goodlife - Aurora Centre.Smaller sized 2-storey gym - SURPRISE! NO ELEVATOR to access the 2nd floor for anyone with disabilities.Busy times: 7-9:30am, 12-1:30pm and 5:30-9:30pm on weekdays and before noon and late afternoons on the weekends. After-work (5:30-9:30pm) weekdays is crazy busy where you'll likely have to wait to use the more popular equipment or free weights. Most popular fitness instructors are Cindy J and Christine S. All the classes they teach. Always full. Good instructors. A spot in these classes must be booked exactly when the GL booking app allows (72 hrs before on the exact minute) or you won't get a spot. The young staff are good natured and respectful although don't expect more than a standard hi/have a good day. There's always enough parking (thanks to Petsmart!) but expect a decent walk to the gym during peak times.Clientel - 55% over 40 yrs old, 40% between 20-39, 5% under 20. There aren't as many teens that work out here as that big box gym down the street bc they dont allow members to bring a friend for free. But then in summer, the Teen Fitness program kicks in (free memberships for them?) and high school kids come in droves. This gym is older and could use major updating in the locker rooms and bathrooms. They got rid of the professional cleaners that I used to see daily before the pandemic so it's noticeably more dirty. You'll see the front line staff is now responsible for the day to day cleaning. They don't do nearly an equivalent job (not that I blame them). Gotta make you wonder about the cleanliness of the sweaty fitness rooms and bathrooms. This is a health facility, it needs to be cleaned more than only at the end of the day for public safety.Speaking of cleanliness, most of the younger clientele NEVER WIPE anything after use even though there are signs everywhere saying they must nor is it EVER enforced by the staff.Dropping of heavy weights is also very common here (after work crowd) even though, again, there are signs saying you are NOT allowed to. I personally didn't mind either but if someone did complain, they'd be in their rights to. BECAUSE YOU HAVE SIGNS!!Here's the part that really pisses me off...PRICING .... RATES HAVE GONE UP CONSIDERABLY SINCE THE PANDEMIC.I was on a corporate plan so I apparently had a cheaper rate than the regular rate. MY LAST RENEWAL IN LATE 2021, GOODLIFE INCREASED THE MEMBERSHIP PRICE BY 40% (likely to make up for pandemic losses). IN LATE 2022, GL INCREASED IT ANOTHER 33%. I called their head office to ask why these big jumps in price and they said its bc of new amenities such as swimming pools, hot yoga, squash courts, hydro massage, mind den, etc... oh and btw, Goodlife Aurora Centre has NONE of these things. Only 1 new piece of equipment (a hip thruster machine) was added over the last 2 years. And since the pandemic, all classes have been reduced in frequency and class size. So effectively we are asked to pay way more for way less. And since rates are the same no matter what gym is my homebase, GL is basically forcing us to pay for these great new amenities at OTHER CLUBS!How is this fair, Goodlife?!UPDATE: I joined another gym. I called GL corp in Jan 2023 asking why the massive price increase and you know what they had the nerve to say? It's my company HR person's fault for negotiating" that rate!! As if they had a choice??!!! Anyone with a corp rate
