David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute

I attended this school between 2005-2009 and had a great experience here, most of my teachers were just great and very helpful. I really enjoyed studying here and felt safe, DMT is a great school for studies.

I hate this place I don’t feel safe when I go to this school and some of the teachers sound miserable I don’t suggest going here unless you like violence

THIS SCHOOL SUCKS ITS SO BAD THE TEACHERS ARE SO RUDE AND WHEN YOU GO ASK THE GUIDANCE FOR HELP THEY DON'T HELP YOU a school should have good teachers that understand you, but this school is the opposite they don't care about the students education a student would go and complain about a teacher and wold ask to change the class because the teacher doesn't know how to teach and they would tell you their is nothing we can do about like they are so mean and cruel and they don't care they haven't changed the staff in over ages and they don't understand that some teachers are sick and tired of their jobs and are really tired of teaching so they take their anger on the kids and don't teach well I wasn't even about to give even 1 star, but if I didn't I wouldn't have been able to post this

I'm so excited to go I know that there are great teachers from friends and it's not as bad as they say it is I also love how the new building looks

When I attended Thomson, it had around 1,800 students enrolled for high-school. Amazing years (1977 to 1981). Mr. Griffith was shop teacher - made a huge impact on my future life. Mr Blogg was the 'electronics' teacher who apparently was found deceased one morning in his lab at school. The word was that he fell from a ladder which led up to a ceiling/attic storage in the lab.

I can't speak to the education of this place as I have never gone to this school but it does not have a good reputation in the community. There seems to be some thug life" incident every summer at this school. Wether it's a fight or stabbing or drug related police activity. It's probably a blessing the this place is being torn down and TDSB is building a new school (first one in 30 years in scarborough)"

I really Love this School. Teachers are soo caring and helpful.

Merged campus does not have an indoor pool. TDSB decision was not to replace Bendale pool and trend to have pools built as part of community centre hubs. Given existing pools are too far (Centennial CC, Cedarbrae CI, Agincourt CC, Toronto PanAm Centre, YMCA @ STC, McGregor Park outdoor pool...all require travel by car or bus, membership for YMCA, outdoor pool seasonal only) the local area is being underserved.
