Disappointed in the treatment in the church toward loyal members. Total lack of caring or understanding and full of liars who bring a long time parishioner to tears...

Nice little church hidden in the heart of the city.. The priest’s homilies are excellent and have a more European Catholic feel to them. It’s worth coming in to listen to for a change..

I attended a funeral for my sons great grandmother on Saturday, August 3rd. Her only wish was to have a funeral at a polish church as she is polish. The family contacted Father Krzysztof, who was very reluctant to do the mass. He said that because Grandma did not attend his church he can’t or doesn’t want to do the mass. After explaining that grandma was a 92 year old sickly old lady and that it was very hard for her to travel to Sudbury from her home which is about 45 min. He finally agreed. On Saturday we waited in church for 2 hours with grandmas coffin in the middle, for Father Krzysztof, who we were told was attending a baptism. As you can imagine the family was devastated. We kept waiting. Finally, after 2 hours the funeral director and the church administrator helped the family proceed with the mass. It was beautiful, emotional and the best the family could do. On Monday, Father Krzysztof spoke to two of the granddaughters to explain and gave both of them different excuses why he was not present. (last rights and secretary didn’t provide the info) At the end of the conversation, he advised her that the gossip that is going on about Saturday’s events should stop. (Not sure what gossip he’s referring to) Sadly not much of an apology. The worst and saddest part of this whole situation is that grandma (Babcia) was the only person he disrespected. A 92 year old, beautiful lady who after years of much suffering went home to be with her Father.Father Krzysztof, I’m not sure what point you were trying to make and to be quite honest nobody is interested to find out. I hope it brought you peace. Babcia wanted a polish mass and she received one. It was done by good people with goodness in their hearts. After your actions, I don’t think you would have been the right person to perform the mass.Thank you to Collin Bourgeois of Theores Bourgeois and Dorota the church administrator for your assistance.
