DAVIDsTEA - Toronto Eaton Centre

First off, the girl taking my order was EXTREMELY rude. I asked her for some recommendations and she says “whatever you think tastes good”. After that, I picked a tea. She made it for me with the same rude attitude I received before. After trying my $5 drink, I really didn’t like it. I kindly asked if I could pick something else or get a remake and she goes “NO.” Just no. Not a “no sorry”, “my manager won’t let me”. Just NO. I have never been spoken to or degraded like this by a fast food employee in my life. Needless to say, I will never be returning and I recommend you do the same. Hope she enjoys my $5, seemed like she really could use the money.

It was a great misfortune for me today to walk into the store and run into Melody. If I had sought help from the other lady next to her, I could have maintained a good image of Davidstea.Melody was cold and rude, ignoring me and looking down on me. The level of the company with such employees was pathetic. She was rude enough to feel like a racist. Even in such a bad mood, I had no choice but to buy a present, and my heart was so broken as I walked out of the store with two full shopping bags. Melody totally ruined my evening. If Melody continues to work there, I will never go there again, and Davidstea must properly train its employees.

came here yesterday literally 5 min before close and felt bad. the staff was amazing and welcoming regardless off the circumstances. they guided me towards the product i was looking for and were so kind and knowledgeable. The store was clean and organized, products were fully stocked up. would definitely stop by again!

I always have the best experience at this location! I've been going here for years, and always receive help from Melody. She is such an amazing helper, and I will always continue to go to this location to receive help from her! - Rudsak family :)

stopped into this place today and boy it has changed, not in a good way. i used to love this store back in the day. my buddy Cajj was one of the manager's then, and i remember the store's culture more fun then too. price tag's were on the shelves so i didn't have to chase anyone down to learn how much something cost. also back then the tea wall had more options to choose from. i hope this changes soon. david's tea should really consider bringing back older management who were more-so into tea than the blank faced zombies i encountered working here today. side-note: please bring back coconut oolong this summer!

Amazing customer service, I did not catch his name however the French gentleman who assured me this morning was amazing and his entertainment made my day what a great experience. Also a great selection of teas the cold 911 is a life saver.

The store is not that big in full honesty but they have a good variety of teas. Staff is super friendly and can help you make an informed decision if you are not so sure in what to get.

I ordered a black tumblr and once it arrived I realized it was defective. Later that week I went to return it in-store at the Eaton’s Centre. The employees informed me that because it was purchased online it could not be returned in-store because it was a different division of the company. This is ridiculous and I have never experienced this return policy before. I then tried MANY times to return it by customer service online and had to wait over an hour to connect with a virtual assistant and had to give up because I did not have the time to wait. I phoned many times and my call was not answered after waiting the 10 minute period. A day where I had more time I waited an hour to connect to a virtual assistant and they had 3 other customers they were dealing with. I had to wait for their replies and they needed receipts, pictures, and a video which I had to email because the file was too big. The assistant sent an email to a previous customer and then sent me this customers email which is an invasion of their privacy. The whole experience consumed so much time and was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will not shop at David’s Tea because this was so awful.

I just want to warn future customer that I had a less than ideal experience via their online store.I purchase some tea bags well in advance for a secret Santa - my order was ordered well in advance. Sadly to say, the order did not arrive for the Christmas party, did not arrive for Christmas, did not arrive even for new years. I paid for shipping. The order was shipped out AFTER Christmas as I received an email on Christmas day advising me that my order is delayed. I wasn't able to cancel my order, and wasn't offered any further discounts or credits. Its sad to see a company that used to be focused on customer service go downhill in this department. I used to be s supported and would promote the company to all my friends and guests - unfortunately i will no longer be purchasing any products from them any longer as I don't know when / if my tea will even arrive on time. I get that its a busy season but most companied have hired additional staff and have worked out the logistics on ensuring products arrive to their consumers in a timely and orderly fashion. I am now stuck with more tea than i want or need and will not receive any credit / acknowledgement from their team despite attempting to call their phone number and talking to a tea guide". If you want tea I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere especially if purchasing online."

They had a store open at the union station where they were giving teas for free and I am so glad that I stopped by. I don’t remember the name but it had got the flavour of berry, almond and cinnamon and it was so delicious. Just a perfect blend of all ingredients neither too strong nor too subtle. Must have tea for all tea lovers. Highly recommended.
