I unfortunately had to stay here for 5 nights/ 6 days while on business here in BC. From the time I checked in until I checked out, I dreaded my stay. The housekeeping staff questioned me every time I asked for anything to be done to my room. The floor was not vacuumed and there was plenty of other people’s hair in the sheets. When I asked for the room to be vacuumed I was questioned on why. When I asked for clean sheets, I was asked why. I went my entire stay without a comforter because the night housekeeper didn’t feel like bringing me one that wasn’t stained. Requested towels and had to wait 2 hours. I placed sealed trashed outside my room because I requested no service, they entered my room anyway with the dnd sign on the door and no service for stay selected for my reservation. I then had the front desk manager lie to me and say that it’s Marriott policy to check the room after 3 days of no service. I called Marriott and they stated their policy is 7 days. She also told me that they do not have to tell me their policy at check in when Marriott stated that it must be posted and relayed to the guest on check in. I experienced all of this during my stay yet another coworker of mines who do not look like me had not one issue with housekeeping or the staff at this hotel. I even had the housekeeper questioning me on why I was in Canada after she told me that she cleaned the room already then haphazardly vacuumed the floor. My coworker purposely asked the same housekeeper to vacuum and she did it without mumbling a word. Definitely prejudice behavior at this hotel so if you’re a darker skinned human traveling avoid this hotel at all cost. Also just park on the street at the back of the hotel. Thank me later.

Just on my way home after an amazing stay at this location. We were slightly inconvenient guests (sorry!) but the staff were extremely accommodating and kind to us at every turn. Special shout out to the lady at the front desk who was so sweet and personable. The food was delicious and displayed beautifully with a little flower vase on every delivery. Dog friendly as well with no extra fees (as long as they dont damage the room of course). Again, can’t get over how kind and accommodating the staff were - this is everything to us when choosing a place to stay! Also a super short walk to essentially anything you could ever need. Even a near by off leash dog pack with perfect plush grass for him to run. We will definitely come here again! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so lovely.

We enjoy our stay, staff was overall kind with some exceptions on the bad and good sides. One day a hostess on the breakfast was rude while we asked for a baby booster saying she didn’t have (we used it the day before), but Vincent from front desk helped sorting it out (thanks). Another day my baby was not so happy during our dinner and Alice went above and beyond by trying multiple things to make him happy, she got crayons and a Hawaiian necklace (not sure where she got it, but appreciate it). We didn’t used fitness center, pool or hot tube based on weather conditions but looked ok to me (outdoors tho). Room was pretty nice (upgraded to club level), we got baby crib which was in good condition (hopefully hotel can upgrade to pack and plays as are more comfortable in my opinion). We traveled with a dog and saw few more on the hotel, hotel fairly clean across areas.

Our rooms were clean and in decent shape (one damaged item). One friend group walked in to a flooded room. That was quickly switched. The rest of the hotel is in decent shape and looks good. Some reno/ construction evident on the pool deck. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. Hot tub not very big. Lots of things to walk to nearby. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.Update at end of stay- we had requested extra bath towels on day 1, and nothing arrived despite our app saying they had. I called guest svcs the next day explaining this and that we needed a towel asap (showers b4 checkout...) and it took ages to arrive.

Sheraton nightmare… run away!We reserved a room at this hotel — four months in advance — for our daughters’ weekend soccer tournament. There was a two night minimum (Friday and Saturday). We accepted as we required an early check in on Saturday. We called the hotel five days before our arrival to remind them that we would check in on Saturday and not to give our room away. The hotel said “no problem, the room is y[ours] starting 3 PM on Friday until 11 AM on Sunday as you are paying for two nights.”… Guess what happened? The hotel rented our room to another client on the Friday night, we couldn’t check in until 430PM on Saturday, and they charged us for two nights stay!We politely explained the situation to the lady at the front desk and requested that—at a minimum—we only be charged for the one/Saturday night. She said no, and that this it was our fault /should have adjusted our travel plans to arrive on Friday. We asked to speak to a “Manager” but all front desk said “they don’t work on weekends” and they refused to provide a name or contact for anyone that had the authority to provide customer service and/or make an obvious decision. When we finally got a room at 430 PM on Saturday (+24 hours later than what we paid for), our UV flashlight revealed mystery “fluids” spatter on the walls, nightstand, and hair in the shower. (Yuck!)Our stay here was more frustrating and exhausting than relaxing. Like a bad dream. We should have stayed in our car. It’s much nicer, cleaner, and the people are respectful, competent, and accountable.

Excellent product overall, images on Marriott reflect what you get. This property was clearly remodeled recently. Gone are the awful Sheraton standard brown carpets and bathrooms that just radiated a very brown tint. What you get instead is a more current blend of earthy tones featuring shades of grey you associate with the mountains in the area. They still use copious amounts of dark wood that lends an air of luxury to the brand, and I’m pleased to see a return to more art deco styling given the brands history as an East Coast brandThis property does not currently run a standalone club lounge, though they’ve integrated a section within the hotel restaurant for breakfast and hors d’oeuvres. Given that the food comes straight out of the restaurant, it’s of excellent quality. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of their appies, and the price of their menu items and drinks. It was all surprisingly reasonable. They also have some pretty amazing bartenders, we ordered a cocktail flight and each of their drinks were winners. I also appreciate the candour that our server/bartender John gave us.Given that we’re local to the area, we might come to the restaurant more often just for general bites. If you’re debating between the Civic Hotel and the Sheraton, both of which are in Surrey, as a Platinum Elite or Above, it might be worthwhile to pick this property instead. Overall, they have a better hard product, rooms are much nicer (they’re bigger too- civic doesn’t have fully separate the bathroom in standard King rooms), and they also offer more benefits for guests. Civic only offers a Continental breakfast buffet, the Sheraton offers the standard suite of lounge benefits including appies and hot breakfast.

The treatment was very bad because the security man told us not to sit in the lobby after 12 o'clock, but there were other people. Why is there a difference between people in this hotel? I thought I would have a wonderful experience, but I felt insulted.

Clean. Friendly staff. Noise carries in the hallways so if hearing other guests doors closing and voices bother you, bring earplugs. There were some noisy kids on our floor (running in halls, barking dog, loud voices at 11pm) but the staff responded to the complaints. Lots of parking, with roomy stalls. The teenagers travelling with me enjoyed the pool. Great location across from a large mall and many restaurants nearby. Will be my first choice to stay on my next visit to the lower mainland.

Sheraton beds are the closest one can come to waking up in a cloud. Breakfast was great. 4 stars on location because of the distance to downtown & Richmond but that's not their fault so I'd suggest this hotel. The shopping centre accross the street is very convenient.
