Chop Steakhouse & Bar
This was our first time at Chop and we had a great experience! Our server Ashley was excellent, she was extremely friendly and attentive, elevating our dining experience.We had the bone-in ribeye for two and it was cooked perfectly. It was large enough for two people as stated, and we even had some left to take home. The sides were all very tasty, our personal favourite was the mashed potatoes.All in all, great restaurant and we will be returning!

I wish I could leave a 5 star review for Chop, but we had a mixed experience dining here recently. We ordered a variety of items from the menu; the wild mushroom & goat cheese dip, crab cakes, escargot stuffed mushrooms, chili garlic shrimp and chocolate lava cake. The wild mushroom & goat cheese dip was AMAZING; perfectly creamy, melty, a little tangy and full of wonderful complex flavours. The crab cakes were also delicious and the right amount of crumbly. However, the escargot stuffed mushrooms were just okay, and the chili garlic shrimp was disappointingly mediocre. They were cooked perfectly so the texture was good, but there was little to no flavour, and the spice factor was almost nonexistent. The chocolate lava cake was also very underwhelming — I’ll be honest, I’ve genuinely had much better and richer tasting chocolate lava cakes from the frozen foods section of a grocery store. Despite the opulent atmosphere and upscale pricing, I wasn’t as impressed as I’d hoped to be by Chop. I would come back again just for the wild mushroom & goat cheese dip alone, however, and I’d be willing to try some new menu items next time for a better overall experience.

The food was good, the service, not so much.We had steaks that were pretty good and also the beef short rib appetizer which was excellent- definitely worth trying. Wedge salad is competitive, so give this a shot also.But for the service… set your expectations. We made it clear when we ordered apps, we were not in a hurry. So, it was surprising when the steaks came out and our salad/soup, not even half finished. Sent them back immediately. Explained the situation to our waitress, and she said they’d make it again when we were ready. Not even 5 minutes later, someone else returned with the same steaks- sent them back also.Finally got the re-made steaks and they were good (loaded potato was barely loaded, however). It wasn’t until we were more than half finished before the waitress came over to see how our meal was - she was too busy chatting it up with staff and patrons.To “apologize” we were offered free dessert. Well, that either means you’re getting something for “free” or you’re forced to eat something you don’t want. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but that’s not compensation for the terrible service we received.

I was quite surprised that it was fairly tasty. I would have preferred a little more pink but with skirt steak, I don't think it needed to be. Their sauces were quite good, mine came with chimichurri which was a little creamier than expected and no peppers unfortunately. Nothing too fancy with their steaks, pretty standard, things tasted good. This location was very quiet for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is like a lounge and for the most part, pretty standard service.

I've never been to a restaurant near the airport and felt a bit skeptical before going. The four of us really enjoyed our lunch there, everything was fresh and delicious.

Great happy hour at the bar in prevision of the Leafs game. Generous portions and friendly staff. The filet mignon at lunch time was cooked perfectly, as good as it gets.

Nice restaurant, great people, the food is very delicious and installations is very elegant and modern. US$145 with tips included for 2 persons with entries and deserts. Definitely recommend.

Had a great time, the service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and greeted with smiles upon entering the building. The staff made sure I was looked after. The food was very good, I ordered the steak and shrimps. The steak was cooked to my likening perfectly the shrimps were cooked proper also and the tasting was excellent , the salad I had also was very good. I can't remember exactly the name of the dessert I had but 1 thing I should've gotten the large portion. I enjoyed the experience very much and would recommend and also go back myself

Great service, steaks were delicious. Desert was the cream brûlée. It was cold…. Seasonal vegetables were beets and zucchini, which are not in season right now. But the service was great, drinks are great quality and the food is delicious.

The food was amazing, but the service really took the cake. Our server Meagan was very attentive and organized. She made sure to always check in and even recommended some of her personal favs. 10/10 Will definitely be coming back!
