Being a fellow South Indian, I’m really disappointed with this highly rated restaurant which serves a day old reheated hard crusty idlies, average paper masala dosas, cold chutnies and unhygienic cutleries.This was in summers and the restaurant barely has any ventilation or good quality fans, it’s just a baking pot inside there with below par food. Only went in for the reviews but highly disappointed and it’s overpriced for that quality of food. Had to write all this cuz this place needs serious amendments or it’s a shame to call it a South Indian restaurant and the good reviews are misleading.

Cabbagetown South Indian Restaurant
I came from Hyderabad recently. I searched on Google nearest Indian restaurant and I found Cabbage town South Indian restaurants. First I tried chicken 65 biryani it was amazing. Then I came once again and this time I tried samosa chat the taste was superb as it taste same as Indian chat and even biryani. It will cost around 10-20 CAD for one person.

A humble little restaurant with an amazing menu and late night hours. I had the Vegetable Thali which is a great deal - small curries, naan, dessert, and raita. Delicious and flavorful. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff.

Ridiculous. Pictures say it all. It’s a masala dosa ordered from Uber Eats around 1:00 A.M last night. It was a BOGO and costed me $26. We literally had to dump everything in the garbage. Burnt and spicy(though my spice level was medium).

Cabbagetown South Indian Restaurant
They asked us to write a review and here i am months later, writing a review. Its REALLY good! We asked for it to be as little spicy as possible and it was still pretty spicy and very delicious. They were SO nice and helpful. They gave us extra naan and samosas just because they were out of pakora. Definitely will return!

Cobbagetown south indian The restaurant is the only restaurant in toronto downtown Indian delicious food .I have not seen such food in entire brampton till date 5 years past I have been eating this food since two years, I have not eaten such food anywhere, till date I have not eaten such food anywhere in Canada. me and my all friends birthday party here every year, it is very fun to eat in group here. Cobbagetown south indian restaurant is the only restaurant in toronto downtown Indian delicious food I have not seen such food in all brampton or Toronto till date past 5 years. According to the delicious food there are only five stars here, if there were 10 stars, I would have given 10 out of 10 stars to this restaurant.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️yammmy yammmy yammmy yammmy. indian food done right!! aside from a bit of a funky smell when we got there, the whole experience was very enjoyable! we left feeling very satisfied and smiles on our face :) we got the south indian mutton, aloo ghobi and paneer curries!
