Bulk Barn

First time in this particular Bulk Barn and it was set up in reverse to my usual location. Candies and treats came before the baking ingredients that I wanted. Well, it worked and I'll be a pound or two heavier tomorrow! Lol!!!

I don't shop too often at Bulk Barn, mostly when I just want a weeks worth of candies at a decent price. Inside, the layout is well-done, the staff seem friendly, and the selection is good. I can't think of a reason to complain about this Bulk Barn, it does its job and it does it well. The food I pickup here is typically not expired or out of date, but they also don't scream that they're super fresh. Overall though, nice store that does its job.

My visit to the bulk barn was almost overwhelming. Upon entering you are hit with an abundance of aromas ranging from coffee and chocolate to spices and sweets !Their is fresh coffee beans from Canada to Columbia is an awakening of the sense ( they have light, medium and dark roast ) and a grinder to make your own custom blends.There is row after row of different confectionery chocolates for baking ( in all shapes and sizes ) and chocolate covered treats as well. There is an assortment of trail mixes and beef jerky for the protein lovers and an array of organic peanut butters and spreads.Their fresh spice aisle is a mixture of the world's most complex palate . There is everything from piri piri and Cajun jerk to freshly ground cinnamon and coconut.The store is in the Wallmart plaza and is clearly visible from the street. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and the store is very clean.My experience was one I would definitely do again.HAPPY SHOPPING

Spent a fortune again over the holidays and several desserts had to go directly in the garbage because of rancid walnuts and macadamia nuts. It not just the waste of money (Bulk Barn is not a cheap place to shop in my opinion) but it's also the waste of time baking etc. I have also had rancid hazelnuts and bad almonds on other occasions. I worry about buying many of the other products given the frequency of products gone bad.

Store is clean, laid out nicely, found what I needed easily and check out was quick

A few months ago I received very rude service and swore I would never be back in. Yesterday, I decided to see if things had changed. I thought the worst case

I love the store, but, the location of items follows no real pattern. For example you can find flours in different areas of the store, not all in one place. I wish they were lined up by bin number. You could look it up online then go get it.

The staff at this bulk barn are so nice and always patient with me if I forgot something and have to go back. They let you bring your own clean containers and they mark the weight then let you fill them up to be environmentally friendly. One of the reasons I now do most of our dry-item shopping here instead of the grocery store. Sometimes you end up actually paying a little more for things like rice and pasta but it is worth it. Spices are always a great deal. On my latest shop I got a large container of oats, half a large container of whole wheat quinoa, a small container of raw sunflower seeds and a small container of OMGs (chocolate treat) all for $4.11, and the receipt had $5 off my next $15 purchase. Pretty great!!

The staff here are helpful. My recent visit has been during the pandemic. The policies in place at bulk barn are the best I have experienced.They ask you kindly to sanitize your hands on entry and encourage social distancing during your visit.The staff will assist you by scooping items for you and grabbing items off the shelf for you. As If you were royalty and you had a person assistant. The experience was pleasant during a challenging time.I am confidently comfortable in bulk barn because of their policies and this location execution of their policies.Keep up the good work
