Anna's Alterations

This is a very cute place with very friendly staff! They are very efficient and do an excellent job on alterations! They are very accommodating and have excellent customer service. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is it quite expensive. Unfortunately the price of alterations cost more than the dress, however they do excellent work. Just definitely a little pricier than I would have expected. If you want an excellent job done though, this would be a great place to go. Just make sure you are prepared to pay a higher price.

WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN. Anna is an actual fairy godmother! I am so blown away by Anna, Rosie, and the rest of the amazing crew at Anna's Alterations. I needed so much work done on my wedding dresses, and they made me feel so at ease the entire time. They did an absolutely incredible job on re-working my dress to fit exactly how I wanted it to, and their kindness, responsiveness, understanding, and craftsmanship is second to none. Thank you so much for all of your hard work! I cannot recommend you enough, and will be sending everyone I know your way! <3

I came to Anna’s Alterations after having a horrible experience at a different alterations business close to me. It was like night and day the experience that I had at Anna’s compared to the one I tried before. The woman who helped me at the front desk was so polite and helpful. I had two pairs of jeans that were a few inches too tight at the waist. I was asked to try them on and the seamstress said she could easily alter them. The quote I was given was $50 per pair, which might be pricy for some people, but I was more than happy at that estimate since that’s the same price I was quoted at the other business I went to. Also, the jeans I bought were from a sustainable Canadian business and I really wanted them to fit me again.At the end of the day, what people remember is how they are treated and I can say the staff at Anna’s are warm and professional.

My boyfriend and I had purchased some curtains that needed to be hemmed to fit our space. My boyfriend had gone to Anna's Alterations years ago, and when he showed up, Rosie remembered him, despite years since he had needed an alteration. Throughout the process, Anna and Rosie were SO professional and thorough, and the final result has transformed our space. I would travel across the city to have something altered by them :) - thank you, Anna, Rosie and team!

This place is amazing!!!! They fixed the sleeves of a dress I bought and needed for a wedding three days from when I called. Rosie said “come right over we will make it happen for you!” And they did, by the next afternoon! Great price and the dress looks SO much better after just the smallest alteration! They even had my dress all steamed and looking good to go for me! I will be going here in the future for more alterations! Lovely talented ladies working here!

I came across the add for this place when my other tailor couldn't meet a deadline that I needed and was I glad I did. These ladies are extremely adept at their craft and highly skilled. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with. they are friendly and incredibly nice and well mannered. I am an exceptionally big guy and have quite a few custom requests to make t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and clothing in general fit my larger frame so I needed someone who could think outside the box and not be afraid to take a $250 hockey jersey, cut it up and and turn it into a hoody for me. These ladies have done a marvelous job on everything i have brought them. The hoodies they made for me are spectacular and I get comments on them all the time. They also take any t-shirt cut out the slogan or logo and stitch it to a big & tall" sized shirt that fits a big lad like me

Anna and the staff here are the absolute best and they completely saved my wedding dress!! I was referred to another place (by the store that I bought my wedding dress at). The other place told me they actually could not take my dress in because the fabric was too delicate. 11 days before my wedding I took the dress from the other place and I went to Anna to see if she could fix my dress and she made it absolutely perfect for me!! She was able to fix all of the things that the other place said they couldn't fix. Anna was very kind and understanding towards the stress I felt and took it in beautifully. It now fits perfectly, just as I wanted and imagined!! After after seeing Anna, I LOVE my dress and how it fits. Thank you Anna and everyone else at Anna's Alterations for saving my dress in such a short amount of time!! I had a wonderful experience here, and would recommend any bride go here if they want their dress to fit perfectly. I will be grateful for how much you helped me forever!!

I brought three legged dog and her new $158 snowsuit to the shop three times for fittings to have it altered to cover the dog's bare underside and amputation site at the hip. Their first attempt was crooked, twisted to ab angle when she walked and left her bare belly exposed. I returned with the dog to have that fixed. They cut and hacked until there was not enough fabric to cover her bare underside and the cover for her hip bone, which had been cut too high, bulged and shifted, exposing it to the cold. I went back again, Next they closed the opening so tightly below the dog's waist I could not put the outfit on the dog. I went back again and they tore out the stitching but had no solutions to offer. Their alteration was expensive and ill-fitting, never adequately rectified. I bought another new snowsuit and a different shop did a nice job the first time. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Anna's Alterations did a fantastic job on my wedding dress, they are such a welcoming space. At my first fitting, I wasn't in love with how I looked, and they listened to exactly what I wanted tweaked. The space itself is super nice, the two sisters are so friendly and kind and they make you feel really beautiful. You can trust your wedding dress going here! They even took the time to steam my veil when we came in which was so above and beyond.

Anna is an angel/wizard. She has altered my wedding dress and I am SO happy someone recommended I go see her. I was actually told to go somewhere else initially (where I bought the dress from), but my makeup artist said Anna is the best and OH MY GOD she is! Incredibly professional and kind, they have had to do 2-3 rounds of alterations to make it fit perfectly and I am thrilled with the results. I'm sure many brides are anxious about getting their dresses altered... Anna is the queen. Don't stress. Her team is exceptional :)
