Best Western Plus Hotel Montreal

Please please please avoid this hotel at any cost…Ill tell you why..First of all, let me be absolutely clear, I have never left a negative review ever in my history but this particular experience made me feel absolutely disgusted so I had to make sure that people visiting hotel know this!There was some misunderstanding by the hotel staff on my check-in and check-out time. I was told I can check out late that day by the check in agent and my reservation also stated that I can check out the next day. Suddenly, I was called downstairs by the GM Ricky and to my surprise he started shouting on me in front of the staff! I couldn’t believe it and he threatened to call cops on me! He started shaming me in front of all the staff(I still can’t believe this happened to me!)I still am in shock after 20 days! I just can’t believe that anyone in the hotel industry can act this way! I was basically given 10 mins to pack my bags and leave even if I paid for one full day!Even if there was some misunderstanding, I can’t believe that a GM can shout and handle this in this way!! I have a video recording of this and hopefully will publish it soon.Please don’t stay here if you want to be insulted by the GM and if you don’t want to spoil your vacation! I will spread this message as much as I can since noone deserves this kind of treatment from anyone!

Great experiences staying at this hotel! Where to begin. The customer service was friendly and welcoming. The rooms met my needs for a business trip . Locating was central and perfect to get around in. Will stay at this hotel again in the future.

1. Non working AC, we had to change room and still were sweating.2. Very rude reception and excuse giving staff. at the reception one Mr Mark almost told me to shut up or else he will not assist. All staff looks like part timer and got to hear excuse like I just joined 4 days ago.3. Very poor shower, either it's cold water or Very hot water. Will take ages to bath.4. Breakfast is not buffet but u have to ask and will be served from the counter. Don't know what the owner is trying to save by this method. No honey available.5. Poor management with intention to just make money but provide zero service. Invoice was just handed over with no envelope

Rooms were decent, and a few staff members were quite good, but unfortunately the bad staff members greatly overshadowed them.The Final and most frustrating event after many small tedious things:My card was double charged on check out and when I showed the staff member the transactions from my bank she insisted my 'bank was wrong' when I asked her to print the transaction log from the machine she got belligerent and pretended to call the cops.After she hung up on her fake phone call she finally called the manager who said he'll reverse one when he arrives later that morning.Will avoid this place in my coming trip to Montreal.

All about the staff, they are nice and professional. Rooms are clean, ask for rooms on the street or the back but avoid the depressing room in the middle.Free good coffee at the lobby for the ones who skip breakfast it’s amazing instead of included breakfast for nothing.

First stay at this Best Western on Saint-Catherine St. Love the location, and it's quiet considering the area. Rooms are soundproofed. Barrie-UQAM metro is about 4 blocks away which is great as it connects you to wherever you need to go. Stayed 3 nights in a room with a King bed. Adequate size, comfy bed, premium bedding, bathroom was modern and larger than expected. Very clean premises. Didn't have a lot of interaction with staff but friendly and quick check in. The only odd incident was on the last night of my stay, someone was randomly knocking on doors on the 4th floor at 2 am. And then one call to the room phone with a female voice asking who is this" - to which I hung up. Very odd. Restaurant on site."
