I was hospitalized multiple times there if you are suicidal they put you in isolation to think about how much you have to lose" they treat us badly and often times completely ignore the patients or make fun of them horrible place"

I was there for 3 months for absolutely no reason, I did have issues but I didn't need or want to be there. the day staff were best, they understood me better, helped me with my homework and gave me tips on how to control my feelings and be okay. so I guess that's the only good thing. the night staff are lazy and rude, u need to pray and beg so they'll open the door to the living room or even rarer, take u outside. some staff were okay but most the time ull get yelled at for breathing too loud or doing anything that they think is wrong. the other teens there are alright, most people are in for the same reason and even if they're not then they can still make friends and hang out. atleast when I was there, the groups were often sociable and everyone talked and just chilled. the shared intense hatred of the staff and the terrible psychiatrist was a nice conversation starter. the gym and art stuff staff were nice.

If I had a single wish, it would be to never have known this place.I met with a psychiatrist for one hour, following my doctor's recommendation. I was drinking heavily due to a recent breakup, and supporting my family financially.My driver's license was revoked (after 13 years of impeccable driving) because she decided to report this behavior to SAAQ.I lost my new job because of this, and still can't fulfill all my current functions because my license is limited to cars with breathalysers,So, having ravaged my life, and making me apprehend every psychological resource I encounter,Avoid this place.

I am surprised to see the reviews here. My daughter was hospitalized in the adolescent clinic and the service was absolutely wonderful. I cannot thank the staff enough. Also, the post-hospitalization service team is AMAZING. The service continues to be excellent. I wanted to take the time to give this review so that the team can get the review they deserve. I get that not everyone's experience is the same but for my family, it was great. Thanks to all of the team at P-J adolescent clinic, both inpatient and outpatient teams.

Went for a psychiatrist appointment. Was traumatized by the experience. Psychiatrist should be fired. The place was dirty.

I don't know how this place is still open. Before going I recommend being up to date on all your vaccines, especially your tetanus shot because everything is rusty and sharp and if you get something you would not be properly treated for it because of the incompetence of the employees and the way this place works. All the employees are incompetent and full of themselves, I've had my doctor make a serious mistake with my medication and not be able to admit it. They treat people differently depending on if they're there by choice or not so that may be why some people have better experiences than others. The methods they use are very controversial and not recommended by most mental health experts. I seriously doubted the intentions of most of the employees and I think that some of them definitely had malicious intentions. Avoid this place at all cost.

The one guy who actually did anything useful there got the important part of his job taken from him. One of the worse places. They do not follow the law, they do whatever they please, it's dirty and unsanitary, and their staff are disrespectful and arrogant. The doctors are full of themselves and do not know how to do their job properly, the psychologists are discriminatory and prejudiced. No one in this building actually takes the time to listen to any of the kids and nothing they say matters to them. This place is a lot more like a prison than it is a hospital. When a kid goes there, depressed, suicidal, and isolated, they don't try to comfort this kid. They don't try to make them feel welcomed and cared about. They put the kid in a room with a bed, by themselves, with no form of entertainment, and have someone sit at their door watching their every move silently. The kid eats alone in their room and isn't even allowed to go to the bathroom by themselves. Tell me how that will help them.

I wish someone had been able to tell me what services are available for children through Pierre-Janet because waiting so long for them. If admitted, your child will have access to a social worker, psychiatrist and psychologist BUT only briefly. Because they are so understaffed, the psychiatrist spent only half an hour with my child and admitted she didn’t have time to even read her file. After two weeks, the psychologist and social worker hadn’t even met with her.As in-patient, there are daily activities but I’m not sure how effective they are.Longer term, they cannot follow/treat the child at all, including for medication. So once the child is discharged, that’s it. The only support they said they could provide was to help my child’s school but I’m not sure how yet. They also said they could do a psycho educational assessment but I’m seeing that didn’t go well for other families.

i met my gf here three years ago (we are mentally well now but not because of the hospital ) :)
