Fantastic Firewood

Purchased firewood through marketplace that was advertised as 2 year seasoned hardwood. What was delivered was mostly fresh cut pine. Also I purchased a facecord which by definition is 8x4’ and they only filled my stack which measures only 7.5x3.5’ about 2/3 full. Reached out and received no response.

Their price for a 'delivered & stacked face cord' is not an actual face cord, it's a cross-stacked face cord. So you should expect about 50-75% of a legit 4' x 8' face cord. Also many of the pieces we have aren't properly aged despite them saying they've aged 1-2yrs. Many of the pieces hiss with moisture and are very difficult to get going. Will not order from again. Jads treecycle was more expensive however they actually delivered a full face cord of fully dry hardwood.

I'm only giving three stars because I can't give 2 and a half the price for the wood, delivery and stacking is a great price but I did not receive all the wood. I have tried calling and texting have not gotten a response back or call back I'll me being short wood. After reading the reviews this is not the first time and I doubt I will get a call back. My guest from all the good reviews are from Friends are people who don't know what comes in a face cord or a full cord because a face cord is 4 feet high 8 ft long and the wood is not cross stacked. What I received was about 4 in shy of 4 feet and an entire footlong short of 8 feet and it's crossed stacked so I didn't get anywhere near what I was supposed to. I just hope people read reviews first before doing business with this company because they're not being honest for being professional by calling a customer back that has a problem and making it right. I will never order from this company again and I will surely tell people never to order from them if I'm asked who to order from or if I see someone suggest them. Because I found out about them through a neighbor on the next door app I'm going to talk to my neighbor I see if he knows how much you supposed to receive when he orders and see what he has received I'm pretty sure they will be losing another customer.

They said the wood was aged 2 yrs. They delivered the wood promptly and stacked it. I stopped them half way because the wood seemed really green. Tested jn my fireplace and results: long time to get started and water bubbling from the side of the wood. Probably the wood is from this summer. Avoid.

Very disappointed, we were to receive 2 face cords of seasoned of oak, we received pine dripping with sap!!!! I can't tell if there is any oak in the face cords. Called Mike twice, we thought we receiver someone else order. Mike never returned any call. Mike talks a good story, sounds sincere but we are out over 200.00 and two face cords we can't burn in our fire box.

Same story as others. Ordered a face cord stacked and delivered. Service was good but just a little shy of both 8' and 4' and cross stacked which results in significantly less wood. It's not worth calling and arguing about but I won't be using them again.

I'm in the Chicago burbs. Wood delivered was wet and cross stacked 2 pieces by 3 pieces wide to about 3 feet high over 8 feet. I complained and they brought about 15-20 more pieces. Price was reasonable but I wanted a face cord not a half. I burned though 1/3 of the stack in 5-6 nights over the thanksgiving holiday.

As many have said before me, don't expect to get the full amount of wood that you order. My full face cord was 7.5 ft x 3.5 ft. For the price, still not a terrible deal, but don't expect the amount that you order.Guys that delivered were nice, showed up on time, stacked wood and didn't leave a mess.

Honest unbiased review...Great customer service...delivered when they said they would...delivered and stacked as they said they would...did not leave a mess. I checked the wood with a moisture meter and all wood tested as seasoned but not 2 years as advertised. Wood tested at about 20%...real dry wood is about 10%. My biggest concern is the cross stacking...if wood is seasoned it doesn't require cross stacking...cross stacking only provides about 2/3 of a face cord vs regular stacking. As others have said you're not getting the full load you paid for .Not sure why they would do this and leave themselves open to criticism. As many others have said...there are lots of other vendors.

Ive been ordering wood from fantastic for 5 years and have never had an issue. Wood is always dry reasonable price and they stack the wood for free. Who could ask for more?
