What a find. Reliable, honest, friendly, efficient, reasonably priced, and super-skilled. In a time where there's so much slipshod work out there, Gillespie is a welcome addition to our team. Recommended without the slightest hesitation.

We had a recent repair done quickly and professionally despite our short notice. The repair was urgent as we were in the process of selling our home. We are very pleased with the overall service!

Excellent service from start to finish!!! Communication was impeccable, being straightforward on the time frame and keeping me informed at all stage of the process until the work was completed. The handyman was professional and did a great job installing my ceiling fan and blinds. Gillespie was my fourth attempt to get a fair priced, professional handyman service company to do the work, what a relief to finally have found them :-)

We were totally happy with their service. The repair tech Brandon arrived early. He was polite, friendly and explained work.

Overall we we were happy with the organization and the work done by Gillespie Handyman. However, we were disappointed with the lack of accountability in how they bill hours. We had a handyman here from 8 - 9:50am (we have a security camera by our front door). We were impressed how efficiently he fixed the door for us but we were shocked when we received an invoice for 4 hours of work! We asked Gillespie how the extra 2 hours were calculated and they changed the invoice to 3 hours. So we paid for the extra hour but learned our lesson to make sure the handyman signs something at the time he left. If hiring through this company, make sure that you have the handyman sign an in-and-out sheet for their hours or be prepared to pay for extra hours as it’s just your word against theirs.

I used Gillespie services to reroute downspout to accommodate fence posts. Brandon meticulously helped to fix the problem. He is very attentive and provided all answers to my questions. It was very easy to book services through Gillespie. Natasha was my coordinator and helped me with every step in the process. I would definitely take their services in future with Gillespie and recommend to anyone who are looking for similar services.

I was very happy with the service provided by Gillespie. I hired them last fall to install a panel of siding on the front of my house. From my first contact with the office staff they treated me well and were responsive and provided me with a timely, fair quote. They also responded to all of my questions in advance of the work. This was appreciated as I have sometimes found as a single women that other companies have not been as responsive to me or provide quotes that are obviously overpriced. My neighbours were also interested in having the same work done and Gillespie helped to coordinate the work schedule and payment. We were all very happy with the final result. I will be using them again for future jobs around my house. Thanks to all of the staff, especially the office ladies!

We hired Gillespie Handyman Services to repair a wall of shelves that had broken away from the wall. The company responded quickly to my email request and a date was set within one week of my initial contact (I had tried other companies, but they were booked up for weeks). The technician arrived as scheduled and immediately set to work assessing and then fixing the problem. He explained what he was doing and kept the workspace clean. He also was mindful of COVID protocols. Payment was easily done by credit card on the company website. I would not hesitate to call upon Gillespie Handyman Services again.

Brandon recently repaired some siding that had come loose from the storm last week. He did a very good job and I was very impressed that he arrived on time, something that I’ve not experienced before with any other contractors/handymen.I will definitely call Gillespie Handyman Services for all of my future needs/projects. I am truly happy that I had reached out to Gillespie. The front line folks (Robin & Sarah) were easy to work with to coordinate a work schedule, all was explained in advance to me as far as clear expectations. When Mike came to the door, he explained the process that he was going to take to replace my basement ceiling and some other cracks in joints around the house.
