Jarred was prompt and pleasant to work with. He thoroughly inspected our chimney and took the time to explain the results of the inspection and to answer my many questions.Once we decided what direction we want to go with an insert I will be very happy to have someone from American Chimney come back and complete the work.

I had not had my chimney cleaned or inspected since moving in 4 years ago, and wanted to ensure it is safe and OK to continue using. My concern was smoke coming back into the room. Sean and Jarod (hopefully spelled correctly), arrived on schedule and immediately got to work. I was impressed with how they were very neat, and worked with great care and concern to keep our home clean. They asked me a series of questions to have a full picture of my concerns, then gave a very thorough yet understandable explanation of how our prefabricated fireplace works. They did a thorough inspection and explained air flow and how the fireplace can have negative or positive air flow in relation to our home, current activities such as using the kitchen exhaust fan, etc. Our inspection passed and we are confident it is safe to use, and we now know proper steps to take to prevent interior smoke so we can enjoy our fireplace. Contacted them in July. They came out looked at my chimney. Charged $200.00 for a person to look at my chimney. Said they would contact me in August to set up a time to do the work. They never called me back. Finally in February I called them. They apologized...Sad thing.... Ten minutes after contacting them, they tried to call me back, and then resent the paperwork for the original bid which I had already clicked on in email form. Poor customer service....Very disappointed. They did not care about my business. I found another contractor who came out and bid the job and completed it in one week.

Shawn took the time to hear my concerns about our chimney and fireplace and walked me through all of my options after his inspection. I was provided with pictures, detailed assessment of the areas needing work, and was given several options I could choose from. Everyone I've talked to at American Chimney has been professional and knowledgeable. I will continue to use this company in the future for all of my fireplace and chimney needs!

The office was communicative and kind. Jesus also called when he was on his way to us. During his time here he was knowledgeable, respectful, patient, and a joy to have in our home. The chimney inspection was thorough and it was clear that Jesus took his time to really ensure our fireplaces were safe. He took his time to answer all of our questions and talk through our potential options. It's clear that he values his team as well. The report is comprehensive and insightful. No complaints!

I was quite satisfied with the work performed by American Chimney & Masonry. I contracted with them to address a water leak. The technician, Dennis, arrived on-time and got right to work. He fabricated and installed a half-cricket to divert water and debris away from my chimney. He also installed a chimney cap to keep rain and birds out of the chimney. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them.

Jarred did a very thorough inspection of both the interior and exterior of our chimney. His explanations of the issues were easy to understand and gave us a clear picture of our options for remediation. I would absolutely work with him and American Chimney for any future chimney needs!

I had a great experience with Josh! He arrived within minutes of the starting time of a 2-hour arrival window (which surprised the heck out of me!), was both friendly and professional, and cleaned and inspected my deeply neglected chimney in rapid order. My house had been empty for a long time before I bought the place, and the chimney and fireplace alike clearly hadn't been tended before it went on the market, so he had a LOT to deal with, but he was unfazed by the scope of the job. I'd forgotten to mention I wanted to get a quote for a chimney cap - and the fact that my house is 3 stories tall with a crazy pitch! - when I made the appointment, so I'll have to make another one for that part because climbing my roof requires specialized equipment. I hope Josh is on duty that day, as he clearly knows what he's about and did a fantastic job!

My experience with American Chimney and Masonry was exceptional. Shawn was knowledgeable, responsive, and patient. The company worked with me as I had my fireplace re-tiled, working along with my schedule. Shawn was really helpful when iI had questions and wanted to review the work to be done. Dennis was communicative, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. The company as a whole walked me through the whole process of installing a new fireplace gas insert, running gas from my basement to my fireplace, and installing new flashing around my chimney. They also helped to walk me through the entire permitting and inspections process. I couldn't recommend them more!

Extremely helpful in explaining the various options that are available for restoration/retrofitting my old existing 1957 indoor chimney (4 flues, 3 wood fire and 1 for the oil furnace) for recently purchased home. Shawn did a great job and was extremely professional during inspection and sweeping service. Greatly appreciate the flexible schedule and all the helpful information from someone who appreciates vintage era craft as much as myself.
